For an undisclosed fee, thought by the Guardian to be around £10m.
I wonder how much Kante will be sold for on the strength of last season's performances! <yikes>
A shade more then £10m, I'll wager!

£20M release clause I think.

I'd love to see him do what Vardy did, and sign a new contract. Imagine if they managed to hold on to Kante, Vardy and Mahrez, and then used their money to strengthen. Would be a very interesting season ahead again!

I can't see it happening at all. Wouldn't be surprised if they lose Kante and Mahrez. Would be a nice continuation of the Leicester story though!

Reply to Cromer's post [HASHTAG]#1120[/HASHTAG].
That's exactly what I'm getting at re Geordies and Owls. I'm not saying I'd want either of the players going to SJP, but I would like to see some of the Redmond money reinvested and SOON!!!!! <ok>

To be totally honest I am so fed up with this transfer system where at the end of the season it is a totla merry go round and there is virtually no stability or loyalty. Anyone these days who buys a shirt wih a name on the back is an idiot as the chance of that payer being there (or giving a toss) is about nil come the end of the next transfer window. The game is fast becoming bankrupt and if the national team is a yardstick then it ha already reached that point.

I'm still trying to work out how you play regularly and successfully for Sporting Lisbon and get starts for Netherlands then join NCFC and ability apparently falls off a cliff. I'd love to see Ricky make it in the new Norwich shirt. (Not last years obviously, that was horrible <laugh>)

I felt a warm glow when I saw the headlines, thinking it might be Jóhann Berg Guðmundsson of Charlton, now their gallant Euros campaign has ended.
Silly me, it's just an out of contract gk. So, if successful, who's on the way out, Rudd or Ruddy? Neither of them, nor McGovern will be content with being third choice, I suspect?

I also hope we sign Jóhann Berg Guðmundsson now that Iceland is out of the Euros. He's not as flash as Redmond with the stepovers and such, but he is a very considtent performer with good crosses and corners and the ability to score his share of goals as well. Unlike Redmond as well, he's very good at tracking back and supporting the FB. Fingers crossed.

As for McGovern, if he came in I suspect that Rudd would probably move on to get first team football.

Rudd failed to displace Ruddy despite the latter being in rotten form, I wouldn't blame him for moving on to start a career as a first choice 'keeper. McGovern coming in would/could put him and Ruddy on level standing, and make being first choice a genuine competition.

I agree DH. Better situation for all concerned and we should receive a reasonable transfer fee if Rudd leaves.
