That's just the way the cookie crumbles though SA. There is lots being posted in there that might not get seen.

The mods have always had it that way, but it seems not for this. No skin off my nose as I don't start non-footballing threads, but others have tried (out of season too) and been stopped.

Anyway, where is your dream holiday destination you've not been to :)

I don't think it's a problem at this time of year personally. lots more things to worry about IMO, I posted a Cryptic Clue thread this time last early July.

*It's got to be that place the the fat, gnger mayo eater went in the West Indies, DTLW called it a "Millionaires paradise!....:emoticon-0103-cool:

The Hollies (saw them in the 90s in the Albert Hall and they were still brilliant. I was lucky enough to see them with Alan Clarke as lead singer. Sublime.)
The Eagles (saw Glenn Frey in a small venue in Camden years ago. Still heartbroken.)

The Ageas Bowl on a Saturday night. Three bands/acts maximum, half hour for the first support, one hour for the second and a two hour slot for the headliners. As this is fantasy you can pick anyone alive or dead from any era.

What bands would you have and in what order?

I'll restrict it to artists that I haven't already seen seeing as it is fantasy!..

1)The Clash circa 1982 Half hour
2) The Beatles circa 1969 ( I know they stopped touring in '66 but hey) One hour
3) Hüsker Dü circa 1987 2 Hours

Nas ( only playing songs from Illmatic album, that's about 30 min long)

Wu Tang Clan (only playing songs from 36 Chambers)

Static Selektah and Freddie Gibbs.

You can smoke weed at this gig btw

Rory Gallagher was the best gig I have even seen in my life. I still have a limited RG musical knowledge [Blueprint only on vinyl], and half the songs were unknown to me yet he blew me and everyone else away.
Led Zeppelin were good. Not astounding, just damn good. The least you'd expect from them really. Several others got close. Moody Blues, Yes, etc... The Groundhogs were good and dirty. Ziggy era David Bowie. Simple Minds. ;)

Bands who were crap: The Who - way under rehearsed and too loud. REM - just massively too loud Others - generally too loud. The Who were just **** though. Mainly rather stay at home and listen on vinyl though. At least they play the bloody music better.

It was you who got me into them wasn't it? Yes, I saw them at just about the perfect sized venue for them, the O2 Academy in Bristol. Big enough to get loads of people in, but small enough to still seem intimate. Very hot and steamy, and excellent sound quality. My daughter and I were about 5 people from the stage but we could hear everything.

Would be a good venue for the next stage of Fable's career I would think...
