My thoughts are that with the possibility of Sam going to become England manager, nobody (any good) will be wanting to join SAFC because they won't know who will be our manager.
If he does want the England job we must look now for a replacement but it means we can forget this transfer window because anyone new will not really know what's needed to add to our squad.
The current uncertainty will harm the coming season for us and could see us relegated through no fault of our own.
I can understand it if Sam wants the England job and would wish him well but we really want him to stay here. We like him and he is good for us, but the longer the England manager's job remains vacant then the more we will be affected by possible transfers not willing to come.
Sam can put a stop to this situation by stating his plans. He can either say he is staying and does not want the England job, which is what we all want, or he can declare his interest in the England job so that we can look for a replacement.
Keeping quiet is not an option.
I hope he commits himself to us but the club needs to know.
