The odds have moved a fair bit this morning, Klinsmann is now favourite, followed by Hoddle, Southgate, Allardyce, Howe, Redknapp, Wenger and Pardew.

I just ran round in three circles then ploughed headfirst into the wall in celebration.

Southgate tells fa to **** the **** off. Always loved Southgate, great bloke.

Now let's hope it's not a ****ing gerry.

The media would love Hoddle to get the job. They'd be all over it like a rash.

None available atm especially for England. Unless they can get Guus Hiddink that is,.

No surprise that Southgate rejects any notion of being the next England manager temp or perm.

Don't know him. Klinsmann isn't a bad manager however, but I don't want a foreigner.

Jamie Carragher has said that the England players are pampered pansies.

I've just seen a photo of them getting off the plane after landing back in Blighty and there's people( I assume employed by the FA) stood holding umbrellas for them , protecting them from a bit of drizzle. This is so they can get to their cars which are parked about 50 metres away without getting wet.

Whoever comes in needs to look at this sort of bollocks and get a grip.

They don't live in the real world.

I was the first one to say Hoddle and I'm sticking by that. Dont want a foreigner.
Not one of that lot is fit to lace Hoddles boots and i f i were him I'd be telling them that constantly. Just like Cloughie used to do.
knock the ****ing weaklings down to size.

"I think Beckham would actually make a decent England manager." Okay, you didn't actually write that he should be England manager, but you do suggest he would be good candidate, (which is the opinion of someone who knows nothing about football, IMO). Surprising, coming from you.

Being pampered is not why we lost to Iceland. If so, how would Germany win anything- do you think their players have to live on the streets between tounaments. And what about Ronaldo, how on earth is he so good, he's got to be about the most out of touch, pampered person on earth.
The reason why we lost to Iceland has to be a factor which is unique to English football, not even the Welsh. so amount of games, tiredness, foreign footballers in club football etc are not the reason.
The probable reason is because the players have no positive tournament experience to draw on, it is all negative and full of under-achievement. when they needed a leader, Rooney fell to pieces, probably due to his experiences at previous tournaments. I don't actually blame the players, it's down to the management to prepare them properly to be durable in situations like the Iceland game and they clearly didn't do that, they did the opposite. I think hodgson probably lost it at some point during the tournament, beforehand he seemed to be holding things together, the odd squad selection excepted.

The reason we lost to Iceland is because we are **** as a team, it's all names & not players, that's why Wales are doing so well, because they have players!
