Both League 2 players, what is it with you and these players that aren't really Premier Legaue quality? Roofe I can kind of understand, but the other bloke is proper League 2 standard. You'll be recommending Matt Tubbs next. Try to think less about value for money and more about whether they're actually good enough for a season of top flight football.
You really do need to consider what you write. How the hell do you know IF they will be good enough or not unless tried and the price of both is worth the risk. btw, the size of the goal in the PL is the same as league 2. Now remind me of where Jamie Vardy came from ?
How do you know this? Do you have a link, or have you a "mole" in the inner sanctum who is feeding you titbits of information?
I can see the sense in taking a punt on Roofe, he seems very highly rated by everyone, but a 26 year old with one good season in League Two is probably a punt too far for a Premier League club.
Well then stop saying stupid stuff. Jamie Vardy spent time in the Championship and proved himself there. The two above have not. Had we not gone up the two would be well worth a go. But in the best league in the country I don't think they'd make the step up straight away.
If Fulham can ask £12m for McCormack, then it might be worth a punt on a loanee, like Jordan Ibe or someone as our striker off the bench, assuming we also buy someone to compete/play with Hernandez up front. If we were more established Berahino (sp) seems a relative bargain (cough) at a mere £15m
In England 40 years ago, yes. In the US now, no. I'm in the US. And "from" sounds so archaic, anyway, in that context. Ask Castro.
We'll still have enough in the bag to take 6 points off you lot. I went to Middlesbrough yesterday. Nice to see it is still just as dreadful as it was 10 years ago.
I reckon Tiago Ilori at Liverpool is worth a look. Not sure why he hasn't featured more for them, along with Eric Dier he was supposed to be the next big thing. Still eligible for England too. Don't think he'd cost that much to buy, although last season they rejected an £8m bid for him from Dortmund.
In all fairness they have been far more that have failed compared to the one vardy who has been a success
Thousands of players have been pulled from non-league by league clubs, there are very few that ever made it to the top flight.
