My guess would be a VIP area in the city stand that can be used at higher price for the gig. Access to directors lounge etc, no such facilities in the south stand

    Bah!

Guys, quick question. If you are forced to park down a side road near some houses. You don't block a drive, you aren't on any double yellows, or single yellows. Only gone for about 2, 2 1/2 hours. You come back in the pitch black and see the residents have blocked you in bumper to bumper front and back. with 2 cars. I then had to walk/run 5 miles home in the pitch black, in a black coat, with no footpaths for the first 3 miles.

If I go back there today and it's still blocked in the same. What are the rights there? If I can't get anyone to answer the door or they refuse to move, what can I do? I can't call the police or anything can I? It was so tight there was no way I can shunt out slowly.

Right, so look after the corporate prawn sandwich / g+t brigade first, sod the paying rabble who shell out up to £95 to see him?
Hardly a spare seat last night, from photos I've seen and apparently he could be heard in Hellesdon, up by the airport!! <laugh>

I think rod, his promotions team and organisers would also like to look after anyone fool enough to part with sufficiently more wedge for a distant seat and access to their g+t

    Bah!

What time did you return? I'd have knocked on the nearest front door. If it wasn't the first persons car/s then they may know who's it is. What ever way you cut it these a holes have done it deliberately to cause you grief so deserve a midnight wake up. If on pickup your still blocked in and people unwilling to move them are not forthcoming then I'd think the best policy would be to tell the police that you will have no choice but to ram one of the offending cars out of the way. Police in general seem to only respond if someone is making threats not just to a difficult situation. If the police will not help and no one will move a car. I suggest if you have another car, attaching a rope and drag one out of the way sufficiently, assuming other vehicle can get enough grip/has power. In this instance it may be wise to have a mate or two with you as, the sort of muppets that would allow the situ to get to that stage may become volatile even though it was there actions that caused the difficult situ. (Helps if they're big and hard) that said youll hopefully find your car free this morning and if not I'm sure they'll move one having taught you a lesson for parking in their street.
All that said, if you do find out whose done it, let the rage fester and in 6 months when it's forgotten by them. Post a dogturd through their door!

    Bah!

Thank you General. I finally got hold of a ex police officer friend of mine, who says as long as I'm not parked illegally or dangerously, then they have no right to block me, and are infact breaking the law themselves. Anyone is free to park anywhere, as long as it is legal and not a danger. He says if they don't move, then call the police. I just hope one or both of the cars have moved when I get there. Really don't relish knocking on the doors. Or calling the police. My Sunday could be written off today.

But you've absolutely nothing wrong, so the onus is on them (the blocker-inners) to cooperate.
And on that basis, if the police do have to get involved, surely they'll be on your side, as you were parked legally and safely. <ok>

Went round late morning, and one of the cars was gone. No note on the car, or scratches or anything. So just drove away. Big relief. Thanks for the advice guys. :emoticon-0109-kiss:

I see Tim Peake is on his way back to earth and they are due to land around 10.15. His time in space has apparently inspired hundreds of children.

Friday - the £350m per week admission that it was not true, 2,000 jobs gone in the City and now Grayling saying that hey cannot guarantee reducing the number of immigrants, oh and now Boris is in no rush to leave! Why?
Because they have no idea at all what they are going to do!

    *Wardrobe 'malfunction' alert*
God, can this festering rag - excuse for a "newspaper" sink any lower :emoticon-0119-puke: <doh>
She's wearing a dress, ffs, so it's not beyond the realms of possibility you'll get a glimpse of her legs, it kind of goes with the territory. But a wardrobe malfunction? I don't think so.
"Not very regal", they screech. WTF? She happens to be related to royalty by marriage, so does that mean she's not entitled to a life anymore <doh>
Sorry, Daily Fail, but if you actually watch some of the tennis, you may actually get a squint at a pair of panties, when girls dive to retrieve a shot etc. Focus your ****ing titillation tendencies on that, hey?
    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/a...wardrobe-malfunction-Royal-Box-Wimbledon.html

Sorry, this rag annoys the hell out of me on a daily basis, but I don't rant on here about it.
And what's worse, my mother buys it every day <doh> <yikes>

Wonder how long they focussed the camera on her to get the photo?
if that had been me taking the photo, I would have been locked up for 'intrusion' or worse
