Well unless they get a second penalty can't see Ireland coming back from this especially as France will be fitter after a longer rest between games. Whether it is us or Iceland that play France next it could be interesting as France have a few key players out after picking up yellows today.

    Ireland just lost the heads.

They lost all shape after first goal and never got it back.

The huge gaps left totally exposed the **** cbs picked

Lucky not to be 4 or 5 I reckon.

They also had an open goal and that **** mcclean played it behind madly.

The pace is now killing ireland totally.

I expected that but they did well first half sitting back. They need any sort of set-piece to make a last chance.

But if they get 2-2 extra time will be a killer.

Reminds me of liverpool v Seville.. just lose heads and faith in system and give it away before you get your heads right.

Yup...indiscipline at the wrong time...tbf to France they went up the gears that they needed to but Ireland invited it second half

Ah well, like us probably out at the right stage for our level....great support and good effort.

I think the two lumps at cb were let down by the midfield for both goals. The shape was gone.. the same for sending off. Once you are in that situation you need the cover and there was none.

Coleman was awful as well... always half out of position.

At 55mins they'd seen off france and needed that good shape and make it hard. Instead they lost it a bit.. the utterly panicked and pressed self destruct.

2-1 can be made sound brave.

I dont fancy the england side v france at all but france have clear weaknesses we could expose but they also have loads of players and can't decide on best 11.
