Most of Leave fought in the Boer war so would be favourites.

The "independence for London" and Second Referendum calls are clearly so much bollox.

But if pro-Remain MP's in Parliament seek to dilute the national vote eg by seeking a single market with free movement preserved, then there'll be trouble imo

Remain voters....I put my X in the box...I know what it's like to fight a war for that right, it's tough you know coming out in my car (trenches) and picking up my pen (gun) and giving my life to the EU.

I actually voted Leave despite being a zygote compared to most of this board. My generation has years of Call of Duty experience.

    It can go 3 ways
    1. they don't let us in. Spain would be bankrupt in a year without the 1M holiday makers spending money. Same with Greece.
    2. They will give us special visa's. Remember there are 300,000 French in London. Most living and working here. We also have many other European nationals in our country.
    3. And i think this will happen, is we will be free to move around Europe and we would have to make some sort of contribution.

For the record I think it's sour grapes to moan about the validity of the vote, but not the outcome.

Considering many leave voters signed their X in Pens because of the danger of MI5 changing it, we can assume the reaction if it went the other way

That's not a comment of the posters on here btw, but some people on social media

Some are born Irish, few achieve Irishness and the Irish football team have Irishness thrust upon them.

    Not a wind up......
Apparently Johnson is canvassing Tory MPs saying he will call an immediate general election if made Tory leader.

If he wins and he calls the election before he invokes Article 50, the election could be a re run of the referendum, with the Tories (some very reluctantly, may even split on it) and UKIP standing to continue with Brexit, all the others standing on a 'this is your chance to change your mind' platform. Would help if Labour got rid of Corbyn first of course. The referendum was advisory rather than mandatory, a new government would be quite within its rights to say circumstances have changed, sorry for mucking you about EU, we hav a new mandate from the people.

For what it's worth I don't think Johnson either expected to or particularly wanted to win this referendum. I suspect he hoped to lose, but be able to say 'I followed my conscience' in appealing to grassroots Tories when Cameron eventually stepped down ' but the people have spoken for remain, so let's move on'.

The EU want exit negotiations NOW, to avoid domino effect. They won't wait for a Tory leadership election, let alone a General Election thereafter

That is nearly as believable as the petition myth going around or Mayor Khan making London part of the EU.
