    I know you are fishing:

Yep. But it's too late now.

At the end of the day the uneducated, unskilled working class and those that will be dead through old age carried the day.

Just hope the educated , skilled and middle class that are young enough to still have their faculties didn't call it right. But suspect they did. Time will tell.

Heard the remainers have thrown their toys out, signing a government petition for another one till they get the right result for them. <doh>

Apparently because 'not everyone voted', **** mine a 72% turnout was more than most GE's. <doh>

The exiteers had said before the poll that if it was a narrow loss for them (52-48 was quoted) the argument wasn't lost. Why is it different the other way round. At the end of the day 52% of a 71% turnout said leave. So about 37% of people wanted out and 63% didn't.

Yes but even less actually physically voted to stay in, it's no good crying over spilt milk if you never bothered to vote, not saying those that signed the petition didn't vote.

On the same note, what's done is done as Cameron said it's a one time only take it or leave it option with no come back.

It would also be political suicide for the new PM to give us another vote especially as it has to be and can only be a Brexit PM, given they wanted out and only they would be trusted to get the best EU exit package.

I agree it's done... But at the end of the day because of an internal Tory fight and an election bribe the country is split in two and rightly or wrongly the uk will now split. The campaign on both sides was a joke and the illinformed electorate (again on both sides) never heard a positive case for staying or going...

Good points Steve but don't forget that the Tories have been at internal war for decades over Europe.

Not sure the educated made their choice on the basis of the Russian threat. If I ever meet one of them I will be sure to ask.

There is another choice... Even a mortgage free Tory should be prepared to stand and protest when attacked.

I suspect those that didn't vote would probably be the majority of immigrants and the illegals. The immigrants would benefit more by staying in EU as they had the EU and UN on their side.

I also suspect there'll be a rush of migrants to become British citizens so they hopefully can't be kicked out now they've lost some back up.

This vote wasn't for the here and now, but the benefit and future of Britain, it's youth and those yet to be born. The Government are now free to change the laws as they see fit.

Other countries will now be watching closely to see how Britain fares in the near future once the exit becomes official, and I wouldn't be surprised to see a couple of other countries follow our lead in future.

On a personal note, this is a great move by Britain.

There'll be arguments and debates untill the dust settles, once the exit becomes official the arguments will have died down and we can get on with Britain being Britain and Brits being Brits. I don't think it will split the people other than with mainly migrants, no more than voting for Labour or the conservatives any way.

When you analyse it, based on what we had in past, what we've achieved overall, where we are now, what we have and the influence we portray to the World, I'm proud to be English and British and wouldn't change it.

The people of Britain are the same as our football fans, we support our own individual teams, but all come together to support England, Ireland Scotland and Wales respectfully, and that's what makes us Brits who we are.......:emoticon-0148-yes:

Respectfully? You taking the piss? Feck em, Feck em all

By definition the illegals couldn't vote and obviously were not included in the potential turnout figures. As I understand it immigrants Only had a conditional right to vote based on residence and contributing via taxation and working here. From the demographic details they voted at the same rate as the rest of us, in similar proprtions for staying or going too.
