Yes, I do keep up. And I'm over there every few weeks anyway.

As I say, it's too many people voting for all the wrong reasons. Farage, Boris, etc have played the immigration card - the only real one they had, and those who are only too willing to,believe that 'foreigners' are the root of all their problem, have bought.

To me, it almost looks like a supremacy contest between two ****ing Old Etonians, using the UK's future as their battleground!...

That's what's annoyed me most about this whole thing. There was no real opposition.
Some of the leave campaign's claims were utterly ridiculous and clearly false, yet they largely went unchallenged.
Remain were dubbed fearmongers, while the harbingers of doom wailed about the immigrants destroying the country. Ludicrous stuff.

And where was waste of space, Corbyn?? Doing **** all! Any half way competent & credible Labour leader would have been out here rallying support to remain. Instead that ****wit did nothing but stand by while they voted to commit economic suicide.

Corbyn wasn't that bothered, as he's always been anti-EU. Now there's been a call for his head. Might wake him up.
I agree with some of his policies and I think he's genuine, but he's been a waste of space at an important time.

Now can the police hurry up and arrest some people for the whole Tory election fraud so this can all go away?
    No? Thought not.

Perhaps they should send the England football team home.

Oh we thought you wanted to leave!

Can we now bring in a rule at least 6 English in each team?

Not everyone who voted out is xenophobic. There are many issues as well as immigration. I explained earlier (or maybe on the prem board) that I believe immigration is being used as an instrument of government policy to keep wages low, and perhaps even to break the social infrastructure of the country. I wish there was something different that could be done, but it seems that no government of any complexion is going to stump up the cost of properly funding the welfare state or building the amount of houses we need. Basically it requires more taxes and to put up income tax would be political suicide.

This vote, at last, kicks the Establishment in the teeth at last instead of taking the voters for granted. Did any vote for an MEP really do anything to what was going on in Brussels? Who was really in charge of the EU? Ironically the EU will now have to have a hard look at itself, and may do the sort of reforms it needed to do before we left. And those that thought it could be reformed from within before our exit just look at how much Cameron got out of them when he tried to renegotiate recently. That's how complacent and arrogant they are (were?) Maybe now we can also see UK politicians take the electorate more seriously too.

What Boris and Farage? It seems that they're who are being listened to and taken seriously!

I have never said that everybody who voted leave was a xenophobe. However, I have little doubt that immigration was the issue that swung the decision, and many of those are xenophobes!

Farage and his crew played on the fears of the population about immigration and kept away from the real issue - the economy.

The economy will suffer, this is only the start. In my view, and why I voted remain, is that everything else flows from the economy. If that is damaged, as its being now, any Gvt has less room to administer other policies.

It's almost as if they want an excuse to make further cuts to services, isn't it?

To further the point about fisheries, Farage was on the EU Fisheries committee for three years - yet of the 42 meetings they had in that time period, he turned up for just one vote. One.

Or to put this another way, the gobshite who has based his platform on standing up for the "British" (read: English) actually had the chance to stand up for the British fishing industries, but he couldn't be bothered - but he was certainly happy to pocket his MEP salary for that time. The fact that Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, who is neither an MEP nor even a politician, who by getting the EU to change their law on discards has done more to help the British fishing industry than Farage and his mob ever have or ever will, underlines just how lacking in credibility UKIP always were and always will be - just as it underlines how lazy the British voting public are, because it takes ten seconds to look up some basic facts, and doing that will have shown just how many lies the Leave campaign was founded on.

Yes, that's true. It was brought up on the Prem board. But, of course, he's hard on immigration despite being a fraud and a charlatan. So, we'll forget about that bit!...

Plus, his German wife is his secretary. Apparently, nobody else can do the job.

No, that sort of thing got banned, as it was seen as an exploitation of taxpayers' money.
She went to work for one of his fellow UKIP MEPs, instead. His name's Ray Finch.
Ray Finch is described by UKIP as "Assistant to Nigel Farage".
