he should have had the balls to take us forward, that is why he resigned no balls.

i was a voter that put him in,but he should have stayed away from the campaign.

Its not "project" fear or reality TV any more, it is now real and the trouble with reality is that it rarely matches up to the fantasy...

We will see who was right in the not too distant future....

Edit: Boris now favourite to be PM - I told you to be careful what you wished for (although I still remember "I Claudis")

Jeez, Carney is now having to tell the markets he has had to raise money and also has £250 billion "on standby".

This is a drop in the ocean. One man (George Soros) nearly broke the country in the past, the markets can snap the UK like a dry twig...

Prem, I'm a little disappointed in your reaction. If remain had won, I would have congratulated you although be gutted. But accusing us for ****ing up the country is wrong and disrespectful. We all knew that we would take a big hit financially this morning if leave had won. This was predicted on both sides so why are you acting surprised. Yes we got a big hit this morning but it's also predicted that it will also improve again. It will get worse before it gets better. That is just simple basics. There is a long term plan to get us better than where we have been. The pain we will experience in the meantime will be worth it in the end.

You do realise the referendum is over? So not sure why you are trying to scare people about Russian planes etc. So far fetched.

Just seen other countries coming forward about having their own referendum to leave the EU such as France, even though they have seen our finances take a big hit already. It doesn't seem to have scared them hey.

Anyway, it over now, well done leavers, commiserations remainers. Decision has been made, what we do next is the important part of all of this. We can either moan and make a fuss and stop progression or we can now move on and try and help make Britain succeed.

Now for me, this topic is done. I won't be back now as it will be pointless. Decision is done, no point going on trying change it when you can't.

So I'm out but will leave you with the famous line from a certain alien film....

"Today, we celebrate our independence day."

The message has been sent by the people of the UK that despite the accusations of racism and little Englander mentality that they have genuine concerns regarding democratic responsibility and the ability to control our borders and laws.. They won't tolerate being told they don't know enough to have an opinion anymore. The media has been bombarding people with anti EU rhetoric for years to win general elections and now they are crying like little pussies when its backfired on them.

If it had been down to a financial argument only, Remain would have won hands down. You can keep trying to disconnect the two all you like but its a fact.

If the government had listened to peoples concerns they wouldn't be getting a bloodied nose today and the 'we know better' arrogance of the remain campaign has backfired spectacularly.

I think it's great, we are getting rid of those slimy little toads in Brussels, they've been exposed to daylight for a while, watch them go scuttling back to the cover of darkness, the rats...

Now Cameron has gone, next Osborn, soon Corbyn, the little pip squeak Farron and all of the other liars who threatened and cajoled in recent weeks, panic on the stock exchange and in the financial centres will now happen, then calm will ascend when people get used to the idea of our freedom and independence.

When you lie, threaten and mislead the British people this is what happens, the majority have turned against the establishment, big businesses, politicians, trade union barons who all turned on the public for their own personal gain.

I am proud to be a part of the great British nation, what a great day, for all of the doubters, don't sulk, relax and watch us cope and grow all of us together.

Yes, so would I, but then we are not 'intellectually superior' and we didn't do months of research to back up our 'factual' opinion. (or bullshit as the nation has decided to see it)

Disappointed..? I think that this is the understatement of the century.

It was all a bit of a game to some before, lets send a message to the EU but not actually leave but like you say, it is over. I have no love for big business but this is reality now and well meaning, but naive people will soon discover that this is a very nasty, cut throat world. It has, at best, a very thin veneer of "civilisation" however scratch the surface and the real inhumanity of mankind to itself very quickly comes to the surface.

Now we are going to see if the self imagined importance of the UK in the world is actually shared by the rest of the world and I suspect that this expectation is going to be brought down to earth with not such much a bump but, a humongous crash...

I fear for the future of this country now, I really do...

Bullshit...? Do me a favour, I will concede that the posters on this site had, in the main, a working understanding of the issues and it was a case of your position on the matter.

The people who won the vote for Leave are those who never usually bother voting, because they "don't get" or are "not interested" in politics - you know, people who think that reality TV is real and who only understand "bloody immigrants, coming here and stealing our jobs". No great surprise then that the people of Essex, personified by the likes of the aptly named Joey Essex and the vacuous TOWIE brigade, were amongst the heaviest voters for out. It's at times like this that the film "Idiocracy" comes to mind - watch it if you haven't, it will tell you where the world is headed...

Good luck finding a UK youngster to clean up ****e for minimum wage like a worker from a less wealthy EU state would be willing to. A significant number of today's youth won't get out of bed today without knowing what's in it for them (and this is from real life experience, not VR).

    Sour grapes...?

No, just real anger that the country could do this to itself...

I am off for the day now, I hope to God that the Leave prognosis about the future is correct because that is all we have left now, prayer...

Wizard - I like you, but I have to say your political views are rank. Its the kids who will suffer for this madness, and those who don't have a vast reservoir of money. And the standing of Britain (or England as we are soon to call it) in the political bullrings of the world.
    Still, well done !

At least someone on here has enough brain power to still see clearly where we're going. Prem - we have not always agreed on football matters, but on this we are 100% in agreement. Just a shame the rest of the country has elected to commit hari kari
