Cliftonville have you even read the abstract of the document you posted?

It states that "We find that the immigrant to native ratio has a small negative impact on average wages".

Not some crushingly colossal negative impact. And let's face it, most of that would be in the unskilled sector which is underpinned by the minimum wage anyway, one that's rising faster in relative terms than most other sectors. And of course the research you posted is just one piece and it's largely at odds with the two pieces I posted.

The Leave campaign has vastly overegged the 'immigrants are driving down British wages' pudding - in the unskilled sector there's a small negative impact, but this is mitigated by the minimum wage and its growth. Try again.

Fair enough <ok>
Its a shame that the thing that tipped the scales for you was just the "unknown". Do you know about the TTIP? That alone convinced me to vote out. TTIP will happen so get ready to say goodbye to services such as the NHS.
Also Turkey. Im worried about the potential of them joining the EU. We are hearing they are light years away from joining. But Cameron is spending millions of our money trying to fast track them. The evidence is there and when questioned, he didnt deny it and that worries me. Cameron has form with his bullshit. These aint the only 2 reasons why I voted out by the way <ok>

Can I ask, do you have any regrets voting Tory at the last election?

TTIP will not mean the end of the NHS. The EU negotiating position explicitly lays out that state-run healthcare systems (which most are in Europe) are to be protected - and they've stated they'll walk away from TTIP if they can't get agreement on this. The scaremongering Leave campaign don't want you to know this.

Baldee, calm down, until now you have expressed intelligent comments, let us keep that up..

I apologise Wiz, but I won't be called a 'know nothing' when I've spent the last three months carefully researching the issues and I go out of my way to reference and source any points I make.

Happy to debate this important subject, but not so happy to receive baseless insults - that's what football's for!

The UK Trade Minister Lord Livingston has admitted that talks about the NHS were still on the table.

Makes no difference now Baldee. All votes are in <ok>

Lets just all get along now yeah <smooch>.

No need for that mate, I thank you for your courtesy and rest assured I know (excuse my common background) you are a brainy bloke but so are some of the people on the other side, let us just enjoy or suffer the misery of the night..

I'm just glad it's over. It's been one of the most divisive episodes of recent British history. Part of the reason I've not been on Not606 much for the past few months is that I've been on political/discussion forums arguing with complete strangers, and closed Facebook groups arguing with fellow Cam and Dursleyites about this bloody Referendum.

Now it's over I'll be back talking about football and discussing our teams' relative ****ness!
