Sorry Beth, everywhere looks grey today, just done a run out to Heathrow and I've never seen so many roads flooded, there was a Mercedes submerged under the Latchmere bridge, one of many major routes closed this morning. Looks like divine intervention is saying 'leave'...
Went beyond the call today. Got almost to the station (a 20-minute walk) when I realised I hadn't voted and wouldn't be able to do so later as I'm going to the cricket at Lord's (if it ever stops raining), so walked back to the polling station at the bottom of my road, made my mark, and walked back to the station - a round trip one hour walk in the rain. I've done my bit.
German paper has promised to recognise Geoff Hurst's goal as genuine and play with no keeper next time we have a penalty shoot out against them if we stay. Also to use their towels to reserve sun loungers for us and provide a villain for every James Bond film. Sorted then.
No chance of that Beth. If the Remain just win then heads will roll, In fact they will anyway. This vote will change us forever whatever the result. Cameron and Corbyn are dead men walking. Boris will become leader at some point. Gove will be promoted. Osborne will be pushed out. Labour party will also change it's team around. Expect other Euro countries to ask for referendums. Sadly this is just the start of it all.
1/10 on to remain, 6/1 against to leave from bookies, not sure where they get this data from but the markets (sterling currency and derivatives) are pretty fluid still. Still all to play for and think it will be closer than the bookies think
Been to the polling station and made my mark. For once, it will be counted nationally and not lost in the usual FPTP local election process. Hooray! I'm very nervous about what happens next...
it's about 51% to leave 49% Remain now if 10% are still undecided (i know the maths doesn't add up i'm talking about definites) then normally the majority of the undecided will go with the status quo which will be remain. That's how come bookies are now backing the Remain. However, I will say that the 'Out' people are like the Tories. A lot won't tell anybody about their vote. The 'In' people are very vocal about it. Like the last general election bookies and polls had a hung parliament but the quite Tories struck. On my Facebook nearly every other post is for 'Remain" yet when i was out at the pub i was surprised about the number of 'leaver's' many of which i never thought would vote that way. So yes mate i reckon it will be close with a remain narrow victory.
I think it's the exact opposite Ellers, the Leave supporters are much more vocal, Remain quieter. But we'll know soon. Placed my X, now off to spend a few hours in the blissful coma of general anaesthetic as I have a (very) minor op done. Hopefully back home this evening, so I can stare at the screen through a warm fuzzy glow.
I'd say that too Stan, leave people have been much more vocal and passionate (I've seen more remain since the mp was killed) but I think remain people are more likely to be reticent from my experience. I've put nothing on FB about it, only on here to be honest. The more vocal ones tend to be Kippers that I know, so maybe tory voters that want to leave also might be keeping their head down
It must be because I live in Berkshire and not London as the leaver's like the Tories in GE are very quiet. Like you Tooting, I have posted nothing on Facebook, just seen all the posts. Trust me out where I live every old pensioner will be mobilized and driven to the polling station to vote. As i said i will vote Leave but won't moan if we remain as there is good and bad points on both sides of the argument. Once it's all over i will be more interested in QPR
Those odds surprise me. I hope they are right but the late indicators and weather seem to show a late swing to Leave. Hope all those who want to Stay In get out and vote for it.
1/6 and 4/1 now. Looks like there could be a small percentage in it. Wonder what constitutes a dead heat?
All the postal votes from the expat overseas should have bossed the vote to remain surely. We leave..they have to leave there sunny paradises surely
I don't think anyone would want a second round of this. Voted now. I can't help but think this could go either way.
