Is it me or has Pepe calmed down? A couple of years ago there was a compilation of him kicking opponents all over the pitch, he could kick an opponent further than he could kick the ball. He now looks like a very useful defender!
5live are going mental, but have spent the whole game saying Brady's set pieces have been crap. Apparently now he's scored his free kicks were perfection all night. I mean congratulate him for the goal, but don't just make **** up.
Sumptuous assist from Wes tonight, and a fine glancing header from Brady. And also the earlier games were both exciting and tense. But 3 good games live on Saturday, 3 more Sunday while Glastonbury is unfolding? Not enough hours in the day, init.
I was having a few beers with a friend and wasn't watching the game. As soon as I saw who'd scored, I said exactly the same!!!! We'd better not let him go for less than £12M!!!!

I don't think we got a massively more tricky game in the last 16, than Wales. I think before the tournament started I would have been happy with getting out of the group and drawing Iceland in the first Knockout game. I really like Iceland, I love their fans. They will be hard for us to break down, they defend pretty well and have some good players. But if we c*ck up against that Russian team, and fail to break down Slovakia, then can't beat Iceland, then we don't deserve to be in the Competition. The p*sser is I have a family BBQ Saturday, and England Vs NIR at 5pm would have been fantastic! Croatia Vs Portugal, Italy Vs Spain. 2 potentially dangerous teams are going out at this round. If we had just done our job, and finished top, we really could have had a great chance of making the Semis, then who knows what could have happened!

It's amazing the difference in quality in each half of the draw. In N.I/Wales' half, the best major tournament performance is 2 world cup finals from Hungary in over 60 years ago, with Portugal and Belgium having made a Euro final once apiece. In the English/RoI half, the 8 teams have won 11 world cups and 20 euros between them. So one team in the final will never have won a major tournament before, and will have had a lot easier route through. Italy for example have to most likely beat Spain, Germany and France to make the final, compared to Hungary, Wales/NI then Croatia for Belgium to make the final.
