Sorry Connor, I work in that industry so the same as I respect journalism, you're going to have to respect betting odds (or get used to ignoring them) when people post about it.
According to the bookies we'd have had De Boer, Garcia, Howe in the hot-seat already this summer. It's not informed, it's based on a flurry of bets on JK. Although maybe a five-way management team of Frank, Rudi, Eddie, Manuel and Jurgen would work well... ...or not.
I'll help you out a bit. I can see the liability on all bets laid on this market for my company, who has placed them, when, where, and at what price. The liability we hold on JK is consistent with there being some kind of information known that is very localised. It may just be that JK is now in internal consideration, not necessarily that he has the job. I've got c. 15 years experience in my industry, so forgive me for clearly not knowing enough about the subject.
Except the betting on Rudi was a far smaller number of bets, far less sustained, for a lot less liability, and far less localised.
We can check & potentially link everything: Postcodes, IP Addresses, sudden spurts of new accounts from multiple occupants of the same address, or different addresses, but the same surname. A whole host of ways of tracking that SA.
Lol - I meant are the bets all being placed at Shirley road coral? You said they were localised. I was wondering if you could tell us roughly the location. I assume they're this country?
Lots of the different measures above that I said in response to SA linking a smallish group of potentially informed individuals in the Southampton area with a sustained betting pattern over a period of 2-3 hours until the price became unattractive. As I said, it doesn't mean he has the job, but it is quite likely given what I've seen that he's either known to be in talks or on the radar or something.
Or it maybe 2+2=5. People hear a rumour we are after a manager that managed a international team ( there has been one doing the rounds for weeks). Klinsmann then gets linked to being sacked, so punters think it is him. If the odds continue to shorten then something is up.
Blimey I leave you alone for a few hours and come back and we're getting Klinsmann! What happened to Pellegrini?
