Whatever people claim it is clearly xenophobia/bigotry that makes many people anti-EU. You can see this from UKIP's name. They inherently agree that a union of four countries (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) is a good thing and no-one counts as 'immigrants' the Scots that live in England etc. Buts somehow extending that idea to a wider group is dangerous and undemocratic. That can only be because they believe that the people in the wider group has undesirable properties which is a belief that has no basis in fact. Most of the Tories who campaign for Brexit are also pro the UK Union. It makes no sense...
