Why ? It would be saying the truth. And it would also be wanting her wishes to come true. The main purported reason for her to be murdered by this man was her not "putting Britain First". People vote for so many different reasons. One would be to keep Boris from being PM, an other would be to avoid years of instability and many others. Why not in order to honour the memory of an MP who was passionately pro-EU?
Yes that is low and disgusting and he should be ashamed of himself. The more reasoned off us didn't want to assume anything about it as it was a terrible thing full of horrible rage and not rational at all.
The man charged with the murder of Labour MP Jo Cox has appeared in court. Thomas Mair gave his name as "Death to traitors, freedom for Britain" when he appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court.
Dear oh dear. I don't think we need more than about 2 hours to find him guilty. Prob take 2 years and massive fees
Most probably. It did sound like his family and whoever were totally naive and gave the press everything. Quiet as a mouse my arse. They gave his history out. The referendum could do with him shutting up cos his lunacy has nothing to do with this but he seems to want to get the limelight which should be denied to him.
Anyone else puzzled as to why there has been so little media attention on the 77 year old man that tried to tackle him while others ran away, got stabbed in the stomach and nearly bled out?
yes.... he tried his best. no publicity at all. the press have gone for the sainthood for the poor woman but no heroism for the guy.. its not great either way anyway. you'd rather neither story was needed.
Oh I understand priority coverage should be on Jo but maybe less time spent on blanket discussion of how safe MP's are or not...and the fact that for every maniac like this there is a decent citizen willing to stand up to them...like that lady who stood up to the machete welding ****ers a while back...
According to the Mail it's exploitation even to mention her name now. They spent two days trying to vilify the gas-fitter who heard him shout Britain First, saying nobody else heard that (is a Leftie? Should the death squads target him next?). After his court appearance by Tommy Mair has put all doubts to bed - 'Oh. but he's mental, isn't he?' Trying to make it all about Care In The Community. And yes, they even have contributors suggesting that if we leave the EU we'll have £350m a week to spend on mental health... Why they've made a new Alice Through The Looking Glass film, God knows. It's all here on the DM. Funny. They used the Orlando shootings as an opportunity to exploit fear of Islamic terrorists (nothing about his probable mental psychosis) but now there's an event that goes against their agenda.... 'Oh please, let's all be grown up and not be opportunistic about these things'. Utter cant. Was it only Sunday Hitchens was calling on the British subjects to rise and give the political elite hell? He's quiet now, but by Tuesday, after the Parliament recall, he'll be using his famous 'You're acting with Diana-like grief, mass hysteria' to try and brush it under the carpet before Thursday. That said, I almost prefer that to twisting it around to say we should leave the EU so that we should bring back the death penalty. This is where dog-whistle politics leads to: shame on the right-wing commentators and politicians for then trying to stop anyone talking about the mad dogs it produces. Indeed - they're very much like those twats who get pitbulls' train them to be aggressive and then feign horror when they eviscerate a toddler. ****ing hypocrites indeed.
Mweh...I think.you're being a bit blinkered here...while it didn't lead (thankfully) to murder if you took a look at the horrendous verbal, online and yes at times physical abuse suffered by Labour members during the Corbyn start by looney lefties it's certainly not a problem isolated to the right. It's like a pack of hyenas except hyenas have loyalty to each other. It's as many have said, a modern phenomenon that it's not enough to disagree with an opponent but dehumanise them in the most vitriolic way. Everyone's a monster, a crook..mental...scum if they disagree on a subject. Anyone that goes that step further and commits violent acts over a difference of opinion has to have some form of psychological problem...quite frankly I don't care if they end up in jail or a mental health institution as long as they are removed from society. But the modern belief that you can say anything you want about another human being simply because they hold a different view on a subject certainly feeds this type of person.
And I'm not standing on a pedestal by the way..I'm as guilty of this as anyone..it's times like this that I look back and ask if it was really necessary to be so aggressive in making a point..it makes me uncomfortable that I failed to be secure enough in my views not to make personal or vitriolic attacks on someone I disagree with.
I agree. really brave stuff. we need to recognize bravery but not stupidity. when peoepl are faced with an impossible choice and respond its the supreme bravery.... I also see trump is at it in USA saying if a few had guns in the club it would have been and i quote a "beautiful thing".... the ****ing turd.... ignore the facts that the guy shot his way past 3 people with guns to get into nightclub. security and cops. this **** would be the first cowering in a corner and we all know it.
No it didn't lead to murder (as a member of the LP I voted for Burnham, and I accept what you say about the bile of the Corbinistas - the Cyber Nats were worse in the Scotland referendum though). Had it led to murder, especially in the case of the Scottish referendum, do you think the Mail, the S#n and all of Murdoch and Dacre's flying monkeys would have told us to forget it though and stop making political advantage? I think ****ing NOT.
Doubtless Trump thinks the lessons of Cox is that all Brexit supporters should be armed. Oh, wait....
Disgusting use of a tragic murder, hardly anything to dance about. If the poll's change before Thursday who would you like murdered next?
