Pearson is just trying to protect his own investment.
If City are sold as well we as the stadium then FC could end up being either homeless or no longer have any council backup in any negotiations/problems.

HOPEFUL OF CITY INVOLVEMENT: Hull FC owner Adam Pearson.

    Comments (1)
HULL FC owner Adam Pearson has not given up hope of being involved with Hull City next season, although his attempt to buy the club looks to be over.

The former City chairman is part of a consortium trying to buy the Tigers and last month tabled what the Mail understands was the first of what have now been at least two offers to current owners the Allam family.

Pearson remains unavailable for any comment regarding his interest in City, but a source has told the Mail he is eager to be a part of the club going forward, either as the winning bidder or working with any potential new owners.

More news: Hull City transfer rumours - Tottenham's Ryan Mason linked

While the former City supremo still holds the hope of his offer being accepted, the deal to sell the club may have taken a significant step forward.

The Mail has been told Hull vice chairman Ehab Allam travelled to London on Friday to meet with prospective buyers, believed to be the American investors led by private banking magnate Peter Grieve.

While no details of those weekend talks have emerged, as first reported last week the American consortium are hopeful of having an agreement reached this week to take ownership.

Maybe he did but just chose to visit Madame Tussauds instead? He probably got a t-shirt saying 'I went all the way to London to sell a football club but all I got was this lousy t-shirt'.

I see Boro are making stadium changes so it appears better on tv for a global audience. If the sale of the club falls through is there anywhere we can move our cameras to so they avoid seeing the 10,000 empty seats on show?

BORO REVEAL PROPOSED RIVERSIDE STADIUM IMPROVEMENTS

Middlesbrough FC have been given the go-ahead by the Premier League to press ahead with plans to redevelop areas of the Riverside Stadium, with the club releasing new images of the proposed changes.

Newly promoted teams have to meet certain criteria upon promotion to the top flight of English football and work has already begun on improving media facilities at the stadium.

New LED floodlighting and dug-outs will also be installed during the summer, along with a new players entrance, alongside a updated West Stand reception.

Two TV studios will be built on either side of the big screen, while the TV gantry will be moved from the West Stand to the East Stand.

This relocation will result in a number of seat losses but is being done so the main camera position will now focus towards the West Stand in a bid to "ensure a higher profile reflection and increase the global image of the club".

Boro are working Middlesbrough-based architect Harkin Associates on the re-development work at both the Riverside Stadium and its training ground at Rockliffe.

Fair enough , but to be honest I'll wait and see after all wasn't it Burnsy, who state a couple of hours before the Allams bought the club that it wasn't going to happen and that the deal was off.

Two problems I have with Burnsy tweet, firstly it came from him and he is a tool. Secondly, even if he is right it the meeting not happening could mean anything. How about Grieve was in London for three days, carrying out due diligence, speaking to advisors about how British clubs are ran, meeting bruce advisors..........
maybe the Elham meeting was cancelled as due diligence had not been completed yet.....

Typically jurno who knows nothing but has to try to show he knows something
