A £4.37 bottle of red wine from ASDA has been voted as the best in the world. La Moneda Reserva Malbec from Chile was voted No.1 following blind taste testing by 240 judges sampling 16,000 different red and whites.

I've just ordered three cases to see if it's as good as they say it is. I'll be surprised if it out does my current favourite which is The Chocolate Block 2011 vintage.

I'll be hammered for this, but.....highly recommend Waitrose Wine Cellar. Massive range at all prices. Join up, wait for the offers (25% off everything last week) stock up, free delivery to your house or pick up from your local supermarket.

Have to agree with Soop, what will you do with the remaining 35 bottles if you don't like it?

18 bottles. I'll give it away as gifts if it's not nice. I can't see it not being drinkable though, I'll let you know tomorrow <cheers>

How can you trust anyone's judgement after 16,000 bottles?
