I thought we played really well. Yeah, useless old tosser, let's get another foreigner in. Jesus wept!
Same old crap we always come out with. No cutting edge and crumble at the end. That was a really poor Russia side. It was gutting.
What game were you watching???? I've just watched the highlights and thought England played well and the Russian keeper had a really good game. Milner however.............
I watched the first half live, I thought Stirling looked just like Redmond playing for NCFC and if Vardy had started instead of Lallana we would have been 3 up at halftime!
I'm normally one of England's biggest critics' however I thought they played exceptionally well, if it wasn't for that one lapse in concentration in the dying minutes I think we'd all be well pleased with that performance. My only gripe, which has already been mentioned, was Kane taking the corners WTF is that all about? Your main striker should be hovering around the penalty spot at corners, not taking the feckers
So, it's the Lewandowski vs Lafferty show this evening, as Poland take on N'Iron. Going back to last night, I was most impressed with the atmosphere created by the Welsh fans. Spine-tingling on occasions Edit, just seen this http://www.espnfc.co.uk/northern-ir...erty-has-belfast-city-airport-named-after-him
We did play well I must admit that, but Sterling imo shouldn't have started or at least taken off earlier and and we looked poorer when Whilshere and Milner came on and it was frustrating Vardy didn't play in that game because with all those chances we created I'm sure he would have put a couple of those away. Roy should have went the last time we failed in a tournament, I sincerely hope he'll go after this one.
Should be an interesting first game. Both Croatia and Turkey have plenty of class, technically brilliant players throughout. Turkey - Erkin, Calhanoglu, Ozyakup, Turan Croatia - Modric, Rakitic, Mandzukic, Badelj, Vida. Srna I forgot just how many class players they both have.
Meanwhile, inside the stadia, 24 teams are trying to play football and win the ultimate prize http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...seille-hooligans-clash-hospital-a7077906.html
The ref in the Croatia-Turkey match, Jonas Eriksson, they mentioned it on ITV comms, but: From wiki - "Jonas Eriksson is a Swedish football referee. Eriksson currently resides in Sigtuna. He is reputedly a multi-millionaire. He has been a full international referee for FIFA since 2002" Why would you go through the mill of officiating international football matches with money like that in the bank??
A bit harsh on Wilshere who I thought played well when he came on and would have created a second goal if Kane had bothered to stay onside. Milner, on the other hand, is a donkey. He was responsible for the equaliser and, in IMO, should never be near the squad.
If Vardy had been selected HE would probably been taking the corners! It's just daft, the strikers should be in the penalty box for corners.
