I'm not sure he's injury prone but he had a bad one at Sunderland not too long ago. We don't want players that used to be good, we want ones that are good enough now. The best he could hope for is a trial and hope that he impresses. He's done **** all in France and not a great deal at Sunderland in the last 2 years. He's the Scottish equivalent of Carlton Cole.
I'd definitely take Fletcher on a free if his wages aren't too high. Sometimes a fresh start is all that's needed and he was bloody good, no reason he can't be again. I'd still spend on someone (or two someones) we're all but sure will do the business, but packing out our attack would be a good move after the striking frailties we've had the past decade.
