Just seen this about Andros Townsend:

    PALACE TO SWOOP FOR TOWNSEND?

Andros Townsend’s summer of disappointment could be set to take a turn for the better, with Crystal Palace prepared to offer the winger a route back into the Premier League.

Townsend has endured a difficult past month following his omission from Roy Hodgson’s England squad for Euro 2016 and Newcastle’s relegation to the Sky Bet Championship.

However, brighter times could be on the horizon, with the Guardian claiming Palace boss Alan Pardew intends to trigger the release clause in the 24-year-old’s contract at St James’ Park.

Townsend is believed to have an £8m release clause in his current deal which clubs in the top half of the Premier League can activate, those in the bottom half, however, would have to cough up around £10.5m for his services.

Francesco Totti has signed a new one-year deal at Roma.

Giampiero Ventura has been appointed new Italy manager (taking over after the Euro's), it's about the only Italian team he hasn't managed.

Arsenal are in talks over a £25m for Henrikh Mkhitarian. If they get him and Aubameyeng they'll be quite formidable.

Mkhitarian looked a terrific player. £25m seems cheap :shocked:

He's really underrated in this country, I think a lot of fans will be quite surprised by his ability. Of course they could just play FIFA Super Nintendo Manger 2016 and get a professional opinion.

Seems Aubayemang has almost agreed terms with Man City and will have a medical in the next 48 hours. Not sure I fancy Daws and Davies against him and Aguero. Better start preparing Big Harry.

Just seen this on Mangala's Wiki page:

Mangala playing for Manchester City at CSKA Moscow in October 2014
On 11 August 2014, Mangala signed for English club Manchester City on a five-year contract,[22] for a reported £31.8 million transfer fee.[23][24] It was however reported 18 months into his contract that the fee was more in the region of £42m due to spiralling costs as a result of Mangala's split ownership at Porto, with City having to pay in the region of £18m to two companies which owned over 40% of Mangala's economic rights. This second figure would make Mangala the most expensive defender in British transfer history.[25] He reunited with his former partner in Porto's defence, Fernando, who had joined City earlier in the summer.

Mangala made his debut in City's fifth match of the Premier League season, a 1–1 home draw against Chelsea on 21 September. Lining up alongside captain Vincent Kompany, his performance was described by BBC Sport as "colossal".[26] Six days later, an own goal and concession of a penalty by Mangala caused City to lose a 2–0 lead against Hull, although they eventually triumphed 4–2. Despite media criticism, manager Manuel Pellegrini said "we continue to trust him because he is a very good player who had very bad luck".[27]

On 30 November, Mangala was sent off for two yellow cards in City's 3–0 win away to Southampton.[28]

Southampton have sold their Spanish forward Juanmi to Real Sociedad.

Sunderland striker Jermain Defoe has signed a contract extension until 2019 (hell of a deal, he'll be 36 by then).

    Aguero & Him! Jesus!

If we have a chance I'd love us to sign Iheanacho on loan for the season. He'll hardly get a game otherwise

Sky are reporting that Watford just rejected a £20m bid for Deeney from Leicester.

Those anticipated daft fees are starting already.

Just seen that Walsall have a 25% sell-on clause on Deeney, they'll be desperately praying that an offer gets accepted.

Their chairman is a proper **** though, he pockets most of the cash they get. He took most of what they got for Will Grigg and Troy Deeney and didn't really reinvest it in the squad (they were hoping to spend on transfers, instead they brought in Nicky Featherstone on a free.)

They have a very small budget and often sign players on free transfers from bigger clubs. Bonser is up there with Allam in terms of ****yness.
