The Allams are the main reason they found the people interested they got the club to where it was bartlett only played his part by screwing the club.

the Allams were only interested because they thought they could get the stadium for free - their greed got the better of them so much that they didn't do their due diligence properly and no end of skeletons came out of the cupboard regarding further debts etc - pair of planks

American consortium closing in on Hull City takeover
THE sale of Hull City has moved a significant step closer with the favoured American consortium close to agreeing a deal, the Mail understands. An agreement between City and the American group, who include former US marine and Goldman Sachs managing director Peter Grieve, could even come as soon as early next week.
City yesterday confirmed the Mail's story that three parties were still interested in buying the newly-promoted Premier League club, but the American group remain in pole position and are believed to be hopeful an agreement in principal can be reached in a matter of days.
Investment banker Grieve made his money in private wealth management funds and is the chairman and owner of Bantu Rovers Football Club, a professional football team in Zimbabwe. While Grieve is now the public face of the American bid, it's understood there are at least two more members of the consortium working in conjunction alongside him in the takeover of City.
While an agreement is edging ever closer, any takeover of the club would not happen swiftly with due diligence still to take place. City's other two prospective buyers have not given up hope of securing the club themselves, although that appears an increasingly unlikely prospect.
With the American consortium further down the line than the other two parties and seemingly prepared to pay the asking price of around £100m, there is a growing confidence their bid will be accepted imminently. Vice-chairman Ehab Allam continues to oversee the takeover as owner and chairman Assem Allam recovers from an operation.
Dr Allam yesterday released a statement through Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust to confirm he had undertaken a successful surgery and is recovering in Castle Hill hospital. The City owner is expected to be discharged soon to continue his recovery at home, but is likely to leave the remaining negotiations in the hands of his son, who will finalise a deal.
News of an agreement moving closer is expected to increase the chances of manager Steve Bruce staying at the club. Bruce, who is due to return home from a family holiday in the next few days, has been mulling over his future at City.
Sources have indicated Bruce would be encouraged by the takeover of the American investors if the money to rebuild his side is made available and would be willing to work with the new owners moving forward. The City boss has given an indication of his intent, with the Mail understanding he has been in contact with the club during his holiday to keep abreast of the situation and to discuss plans for pre-season.

when I was young I asked for caliamari in a Greek taverna, asked for it with no testicals, mum and dad found it hilarious but my Freudian slip was lost on the poor waiter

The Greek style is my favourite way of eating Squid, often have it whilst in Greece prefer small Squid including "Testicals"
