"Stuck at Spurs"?!? Really? Are they suggesting no player has ever felt "stuck" at Chelsea, not even Scott Parker, Shaun Wright-Phillips or Steve Sidwell?

Then again, what do you expect of the Mail Lite...
 
If the rumours about Pastore signing for PSG are true, then I don't think that we've seen the last of Chelsea's interest yet.
Not sure we would have anyway, even if they'd have signed the Argentinian.

The Metro suggests that they'll come back in with a bid of £40m.

It'll be interesting to see what happens if Chelsea do make a £40m bid and it's rejected.
Will they just keep going higher?

£40m and Sturridge and I'd be very tempted to accept!
 
I'd agree with that, but I don't think that Levy really did himself any favours by categorically stating that Modric was not for sale at any price.
What if we were offered £100m or something equally ludicrous?
It would be stupid to turn that down.
 
I was the only one that took him at his word? I feel so used :-(

There's no telling whether any bid would be good for us so until Modric changes the situation by handing in a transfer request I don't think our stance should change.

Regretably, It's a fact of life that everything has it's price. However, in the case of Modric and The Chavs, I think the price will be a very high one!

Levy is clearly extremely pissed off with the way this whole thing has been conducted; and, IMO, will only let him go to The Chavs for silly money.

Your lot do <ok> If it was up to me users wouldn't be able to use those terms on the respective team's board, it's not though.
 
Hmmm... this is the thread I wanted.

It's very telling that the papers that broke the "news" no longer mention it in their new articles.
