Metro said:Luka Modric has accepted that he is stuck at Spurs, who are refusing to sell him to London rivals Chelsea, and will reportedly knuckle down for the new season.
"Stuck at Spurs"?!? Really? Are they suggesting no player has ever felt "stuck" at Chelsea, not even Scott Parker, Shaun Wright-Phillips or Steve Sidwell?
Then again, what do you expect of the Mail Lite...
mr. Levy
In respect of Luka Modric, we are not prepared to sell, at any price, to Chelsea Football Club or any other club.
Me too - Levy would have proved his point.
until Modric changes the situation by handing in a transfer request I don't think our stance should change.

Saying something is not for sale, after being offered a derisory bid, and then playing hard ball is a classic negotiating strategy. £40 million + Sturridge would be an exceedingly good deal and would allow other players to be afforded.
Let's not forget that it's them that want him, not us that want to sell.
Their need > Our desire, or need, to sell
Regretably, It's a fact of life that everything has it's price. However, in the case of Modric and The Chavs, I think the price will be a very high one!
Levy is clearly extremely pissed off with the way this whole thing has been conducted; and, IMO, will only let him go to The Chavs for silly money.
Show a little respect please, how would you like it if we referred to you as 'Spuds' etc?
There are those on here who have no manners your ill thought comments will only play into its hands.
If it was up to me users wouldn't be able to use those terms on the respective team's board, it's not though. It's already been widely discredited, GM.
