I thought this warranted a thread of its own, as it's a whole new level of moronic...

Season Memberships for the 2016/17 Premier League campaign go on general sale at 10am on Thursday morning.

The 2016/17 season is set to be an exciting one as the Tigers return to the top flight, with some of world football’s biggest names heading back to East Yorkshire.

Fans can look forward to watching their team take on the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal and Manchester City once again, and with a Season Membership you can guarantee your seat at the heart of what is sure to be a thrilling ride!

Supporters can sign up for a full Membership of home Premier League football from as little as £21 per month, plus an initial one-off joining fee of £24*, and also give themselves priority access to tickets for away fixtures and cup games.

There are plenty of other benefits to signing up for a Season Membership, too, including discounted away match travel and free entry into home U21 Professional Development League 2 matches.

But the main benefit of having a Season Membership is knowing that your seat is yours for every home Premier League game during the 2016/17 campaign – so make sure you get yours on Thursday morning.

Seats are still available in all zones of the stadium, with prices starting from £21 per month. Supporters can sign up for a Season Membership by calling our Membership Team on 01482 594500 from 10am on Thursday. Please note that, for supporters booking seats on behalf of multiple supporters who wish to pay separately, multiple Direct Debits cannot be set up by one applicant. However, seats can be reserved for a period of time to allow each supporter to set up their own Direct Debit. The first Direct Debit payment will be taken during the first week of July.

Application forms will also be available from Tiger Leisure at the stadium. Although specific seats cannot be selected when completing forms in person, applicants will be allocated the best available seats in their selected zone when processed.

And, if you are a lapsed Season Card holder who hasn’t signed up for a Membership for 2016/17, it’s not too late to come back – simply call 01482 594550 to take advantage of a special offer aimed at returning Season Card holders.

Come and join us in the Premier League in 2016/17!

*£24 joining fee will rise to £84 after Thursday 23rd June 2016

You've got a new scheme selling incredibly badly and you've added an additional joining fee?

You utter ****tards. <doh>

Obviously, proper fans will wait until after the 24th of June so that they can support the club to the max. <ok>

£84 joining fee?

Jesus ****ing wept.

Are you really that ****ing ******ed?

Mail, Look North or RH need to get someone at the club to 'justify' or explain what this cost represents?
Punitive bullying? Coercion? Or is there some special complicated admin that costs so expensively?
Hull and Rovers must be high fiveing each other in delight as we send them their next generation of young supporters.......

Is it some kind of cack-handed way of encouraging people to join early?

All the noises coming out at the time of the "earn your stripes" launch were that of course they weren't going to apply a joining fee for new members, it was just to discourage people from cancelling over the summer holidays and rejoining at the start of season and it would only apply then. And figures of £50 were bandied about.

Yes
I remember it well

There can't be many of us who could be so publicly incompetent in our jobs and remain employed.

I'm sure we can't be too far away from someone giving us the so-called legalese about the scheme being full of concessions and good intentions.

Here's a clue

Presumably if you join after 24 June you miss the first monthly payment in July and start August thereby saving you that months fee which partly explains the increased fee -- having said that it's just one **** up after another implementing a scheme that has been badly thought through and is alienating more and more people each week - moreover do they really think someone will apply by form to be given a best available seat

Huh?
Does that mean that if you book online you can pick a specific seat, but you can't if you fill a paper form in?

It's perhaps worth calling a spade a spade. The Fans Working Group were straight up lied to by Mooney and Strawberry when they claimed that memberships would not attract a signing up fee. A straight forward lie.

Was it decided then? Surely James Mooney would not stand there and lie to good folk who have tipped up to aid him. Maybe I've been right about him . . .

. . . Sad, really.
