He left for the money. End of. Everton offered him 7mill a year. He was close to signing a new deal at Saints before this.
You wouldn't believe how many people moan when they don't keep us up to date. Damned if they do and damned if they don't. Anyway, is that really a problem? Does that make them dillusional? I assume you don't rate them?[/QUOTE] Its not as black and white as that. I think they have done a fantastic job, rescuing us and moving us on. I just get pissed off that we seem to be a very good feeder club for other clubs. Leicester, won last season because they had a great sense of togetherness and camaraderie and quite bit of luck. I would love our team just to stay together in tact for one season and see what they can really do, instead of evolving all the time. We just seem to be nieve at times
Except when they were offering around 2.5m he wasn't interested. When the salary jumped to 7m he had a sudden 'change of heart'. I think he was set to see out his contact and leave for a CL club next year. But that amount of money cannot be ignored, no matter whether he has "more than he can spend".

I disagree. I think we get stitched up by people who say one thing and do another. Do Raise this in September though to discuss the Leicester point again. They didn't lose any players last summer because they were 17th and poor last season bar the last few games. Now they've won the league, there are lots of rumours of their best three players leaving. Time will tell.
Word of advice when using the phone with the desktop. It has its own little foibles. For example, the other day I noticed Chilco write a post and I knew straight away that he'd done it on his phone because there was a characteristic error in it. He'd patched the post up as best he could, but he didn't eliminate the tell-tale sign. The thing you were experiencing on your PC earlier, seemed to be passed to me when I was trying to tidy up both of your posts, although it may have been that I wasn't paying enough attention to what I was doing. Thing was, I was posting my own stuff and the posts were getting screwed up, so I'd have to go back and edit them properly. At the moment, I think the thing was just clutter from other edited stuff. But I will be paying closer attention for a while.
Why not start a game where everyone uses their phone to post, with predictive text enabled and see what happens. A bit like (for those of us who are old enough to remember) consequences at Christmas.
Koeman just getting slated about the German shirt bum wipe thing on Thierry's henry's EURO 16 programme thingy on BBC 1 ATM. Ruud Gullit and a couple of others saying that "in their own words of course) it wasn't an appropriate thing to do. p.s. FLT & TSS. This thing between Ashby and FLT is continuing on every post. It is almost like FLT's replies are being read before he writes them and Ashby has already quoted them. several posts on this page alone. It's freaky mindreading stuff. As for the Swansea fan: Did he? Which players did Koeman bring in? Do you even realise our process behind the scenes or just assume that every manager is old school like 'Arry? Which players did Koeman bring in last season? And which ones were purely him as part of a panel deciding on players the "black box" team had selected. This is part of the problem when media ignoramuses like Lawrenson just think the manager brings in new players.
The quotes in the posts you and ashby are exchanging are messed up. Try editing your most recent post where you quote him. Just add [ quote ] (without the spaces between the square brackets and the word) right at the start. That should fix it. Unless you've already tried that?
