Leicester City are in talks with French side Nice over signing midfielder Nampalys Mendy this summer.
The English champions are keen to hoover up the 23-year-old, who played a key role in helping Nice to finish in a lofty fourth place in Ligue 1 this season.
According to French radio station
RMC, Leicester have put €10m on the table for the Nice midfielder and are now in talks to take him to the King Power Stadium. Boss Claudio Ranieri is a firm fan of Mendy and has made signing the 23-year-old a priority.
Mendy is claimed to have already agreed terms with Leicester in advance of a possible move to the King Power Stadium.
In other footballing news, Manchester United are reported to be on the verge of signing an elderly Swede to pair with an ageing scouse Turnip. Combined with a new contract for Michael Carrick and with Bastian Schweinsteigger confirming that he will be at the club for another season, many experts are conjecturing that Jose Mourinho may have made the inaugral Crown Wallpapers Walking Football Trophy his prime target for the coming season.
