I think Vardy will decide to stay at Leicester as long as they agree to his pay demands.
They've simply got to keep him.

If he takes the Arsenal gig, then it'll send out completely the wrong message and open the floodgates with Mahrez, Kante et al running for the exit.

So it's absolutely crucial for Leicester that they somehow convince him to stay. I'm sure that point hasn't been lost on his agent either and he'll be trying to squeeze their bollocks for a few £m more.....

Personally, if he was going I think he'd have said yes before flying out to the Euros, the fact that he's sat on it, tells me he's unsure and the right offer from Leicester could halt it imo.

Whilst extending our thanks to Stan for his Leicester City coverage .. his scratch the surface offerings do seem to have a rather negative bias (I'm starting to think that his heart isn't really in his new found love)

... so in the interests of completeness

Leicester City are in talks with French side Nice over signing midfielder Nampalys Mendy this summer.

The English champions are keen to hoover up the 23-year-old, who played a key role in helping Nice to finish in a lofty fourth place in Ligue 1 this season.

According to French radio station RMC, Leicester have put €10m on the table for the Nice midfielder and are now in talks to take him to the King Power Stadium. Boss Claudio Ranieri is a firm fan of Mendy and has made signing the 23-year-old a priority.

Mendy is claimed to have already agreed terms with Leicester in advance of a possible move to the King Power Stadium.

In other footballing news, Manchester United are reported to be on the verge of signing an elderly Swede to pair with an ageing scouse Turnip. Combined with a new contract for Michael Carrick and with Bastian Schweinsteigger confirming that he will be at the club for another season, many experts are conjecturing that Jose Mourinho may have made the inaugral Crown Wallpapers Walking Football Trophy his prime target for the coming season. Not only does it look like the proverbial bus will again be parked ...there will be additional seating for pensioners <laugh>

What has this got to do with players leaving Leicester? That's what this thread is about, you should know that as you started it.

... the actual title is 'Leicester City decimated' ... it then details various 'rumours' combined with one factual move ... the irony intended was aimed at a) the assumptions in the press that these were all as good as done deals and b) that Leicester City were therefore doomed next season ...

As matters stand there has been one confirmed offer - for Vardy - who is considering it (rather than just jumping with open arms as most of the London based press had assumed) ... neither Mahrez or Kante has said they want to go .. the club continues its' sensible, impressive recruitment progamme - hence I doubt we will be decimated whether we lose those players or not - personally I'd love to see Mendy paired with Kante in our midfield next season and perhaps a change in tactical approach - I certainly wouldn't rule it out - just as I'm not complacent in thinking that we can certainly hang on to our crown jewels ... but the huge difference for Leicester City is that, from a finncial perspective, at this point in time, we don't actually need to sell anyone ....
