Nicked off Charlie on Ci. <ok>

Seems the Arse are bidding 20 million for him. If you were Vardy would you go? Let down all the Leicester fans, hero to **** etc or think **** it and take the money. He started late in the pro game and maximise his money?
Or be a decent human being. Repay the loyalty shown and be a hero for evermore in Leicester.

I don't blame him if he goes. They'll be offering him stupid money.

I'd rather him stay at Leicester though.

Vardy and Arsenal seems a weird fit to me. His playing style doesn't go with Arsenal's IMO. He'd be more suited to going under someone like Klopp at Liverpool.

If he goes to Arsenal, at least he stands a chance of getting a runners up medal to go with his league winners one.

He's hardly going to end up skint is he? Going for the money at that level is just a ****s trick.

I hope he stays put. Arsenal can GTF.

Sides, he's awesome in that Leicester team, drop him somewhere like Arsenal, Chelsea, Man U, Man C, and he will not be the same player. As above I suspect that toothy **** Klopp could possibly get something out of him, but not like he's played with Leicester.

He's nearly 30. He should go to Arsenal and take the money.

And then score the winning goal against us in the FA cup final next season.

What could he hope to achieve at Arsenal?

Win the league? Break into the national team? Play in Europe?

    I don't get it.

I thought precisely the same, he's just not a Wenger player but would suit Klopp brilliantly.

I'd stay at Leicester if I were him. Or wait out the summer and see what other offers come in for him. Spurs or Liverpool would be much better options for his style of football. Could imagine he'd want to deck a few Arsenal players with their overcomplicated 28 passes when one would suffice.

A footballers life is short lived, he has had one very good season, and on the back of that has the potential of earning at least twice what he is on at Leicester, I would not blame him if he leapt and reaped the rewards, but he comes across as a lad that is grounded, and seemingly loyal to the cause, he obviously enjoys playing under Ranieri (who wouldn`t), and I have a sneaky suspicion that he may stay for the time being. Just hope he continues next season where he left off this one, or his stock will fall rapidly.

Leicester have put the release clause in his contract for a reason, £20 million is a lot of money & Arsenal will not get it back, he has no sell on value after this move should it happen!
Arsenal IMO, don't need a striker anyway, everyone always says they do, but for me it's the defence I can't believe that Mertesaker & Koscelny are still there, that's their weakness, no up front!

No, because there's nothing he could achieve at Arsenal that couldn't realistically be achieved at Leicester. He's won the league with Leicester. The chances of him winning an FA Cup with Arsenal is no greater than him winning one with Leicester. Both Leicester and Arsenal are in Europe and I genuinely don't think Arsenal stand that much greater a chance of winning the CL than Leicester. The only factor is money; it's just a question of if he's a greedy ****.

If Leicester were to keep their squad together, is there any reason they couldn't do it again? I'm not saying win the league again necessarily, hardly anyone ever retains the PL, but at least challenge for it and finish top 4. I don't see why not. It's not like they hung on to scrape the title; they consistently outplayed the other top sides and got what they deserved. Even after a strong start, when other flash-in-pan sides like us in the past have fallen away as the surprise factor wore off, they carried on beating everyone. Even teams who knew all about them and were ready couldn't beat them. I don't see why that should change over the summer.

If I was him I'd ask Arse to double my money then renegotiate my deal at Leicester and stay.

**** Arsenal, I'll never forgive the ****s for spitgate!

They won it by some distance. I think one factor that often gets ignored because of the brilliance of a team like Leicester winning the league is that the other traditional big teams challenging for the title were so piss poor. Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal all incredibly underperformed by their standards. I don't doubt Leicester's ability to go on and finish top four again, or win the league for that matter, but with Mourinho at Utd, Guardiola at Man City, Klopp starting a season with Liverpool and Chelsea looking to rectify their terrible season, I think things will be much harder this season for Leicester to remain top four. That being said, I hope they do and I hope Spurs continue to challenge the Premier League hierarchy.
