On another thread Ellwoods said he thought it was the Hunt family interested in buying us - does anyone know anything about this family?
Descendants of legendary wildcatter H.L. Hunt, the family has ranked among America's richest since the 1960s. H.L., an inspiration for the character J.R. Ewing on the long-running TV series "Dallas," had 15 children (one died in infancy) by three women. Today his descendants oversee discrete fortunes: Son Ray Lee oversees Hunt Oil; son William Herbert is a big player in shale; and daughter Caroline founded and later sold Rosewood Hotels & Resorts.
Burnsy reported this in an interview with Mike White. The three options where a)remains in Championship. b)got to the playoff final and c)promotion to the PL. He said it was from a good source but hey it is Burnsy. The takeover rumours must have legs as Brucy said he wanted some clarification before deciding whether to stay or not. I for one can't wait to see the back of the Allams and it fills me with dread that there is a possibility they intend to stay.
Thing is, if this is accurate, surely the deal was signed off on at that point. I just can't believe they can/have gone back on it.
FTFY If it's based on family groups on your mind, yours would be Limme and the family cooking wouldn't it?
They are the 13th richest family in the US and they own the Chiefs in the NFL. Someone made a name change joke after an article title said something like Hull City Chiefs will decide,,, and I just made a joke back about the owner of the Chiefs buying us. There isnt any real rumors about the Hunts buying us unless someone reads this forum and is now spreading it like I am a real source.
