Gove repeating the lie about £350 million a week being sent to the EU in his Sky debate. I'm assuming Leave think it would be more damaging to backtrack on it rather than admit it. didnt catch all of it, but looked like a tougher grilling than you'd expect from Sky.
I thought they'd stopped using the £350m per week claim - it's £50m per day now. Farage has actually admitted that this figure is bollocks, but Johnson and Gove just continue peddling the lie.
I think the aggression of the stay campaign is doing more to encourage voters to vote out than the leave campaign have managed. They have gone in way too hard and voters can see that. That and the fact people don't like Cameron. It really is too close to call.
I see that JP Morgan are saying that 25% of their 16,000 UK workforce may lose their jobs in the event of Brexit, in order for the company to flog its 'services' to EU customers. 4,000 of them are in Bournemouth. Any of your mates down the pub in Lyme work there? I put in more in tax than I get out in public services from my membership of the U.K. I've always thought that was part of the deal, but now I want a referendum to help me decide whether to stay in or not. I'm undecided.

Oh, I believe that they would do whatever they think is best for their shareholders. That's not cynical just the way it works. They are not 'corporate lobbyists' they are the bedrock of our wonderful financial services industry, which can survive perfectly well without the government protecting it in the EU. Apparently. I really couldn't give a **** about them, they don't add any value to anything, but I would feel sorry for the people who may lose their jobs. I doubt the ones who work in Bournemouth come up with the wacky ideas about new 'derivatives' which are untethered to any notion of probity, let alone common sense. And what a bummer for them to have their big boss turn up and threaten them with redundancy if they agree with Boris Johnson. I just saw a clip of Michael Gove getting upset about something. What's up with his teeth?

Economists and most large business leaders are all advocating a remain vote. These are the same people who wanted us to join the Euro and couldn't see the banking collapse coming. They couldn't predict whether the sun will rise tomorrow or not!! These people wanting us to remain is a huge reason to vote leave.
There are two things that I always trot out about economists. The first is that if you took all the economists in the world and laid them end to end, they wouldn't reach a conclusion. The other is that the definition of an economist is someone who understands with full clarity today why it was that the forecast he made two days ago about yesterday was wrong.

I got three English tourists in my taxi late last night. All three had a considerable amount of drink taken. One of them goes to me, why are there so many Dublin taxi drivers from ethnic minorities? Two of the three lads were non-Caucasian. I replied, I don't know, I haven't worked out exactly why that is the case. The lad then says, you (Ireland) would be better off leaving the EU like England and you wouldn't have that problem. I replied, that wouldn't be the case as these lads come from Nigeria, India, Pakistan, China etc. None of them are EU countries. My conclusion - if this in/out debate is confusing the good citizens of the UK to the extent that they see ALL immigration as being the responsibility of the EU, I think it would be better for both yourselves and the rest of Europe that you leave. Either that or both sides of the debate need to have a serious look at the message they are getting across to people.
Won't change my views on him. I like him. He had a tough job on education, but someone had to tackle the farce of grade inflation where it was virtually impossible to fail an exam. He was adamant that the standards in the state school system were raised so it could compete with the highly successful private system. Gove and Johnson support QPR Michael Gove and Alan Johnson. The latter has sat in front of me before now in S Block. I like Johnson too, but think he's wrong on the EU and totally out of touch with re the public's concerns over mass immigration. What was interesting the season before last when we were fighting in the Prem was that, in a packed Loftus Road in an evening game, Johnson had an empty seat on either side of him. There were no other empty seats around, so I assume Labour head office booked 3 tickets for him so he didn't have to sit next to a member of the public. He left soon after half time. This is symbolic for me. The distancing of the Labour chattering class policians from voters. The Labour Party is split, with one half behaving like the Soviet Commissariat avoiding the proletariat while claiming to represent their interests and criticising working men with white vans who sport the English flag. The other half is an inward looking cult (sorry, Strolls), led by a man with a privileged back ground who has rebelled all his life, who grew up in an enormous house and who, despite a private education, had a dismal academic career. The one thing both sides of Labour have in common is that they don't understand the feeling of the populace outside London. That is why they are losing so many voters to UKIP. Personally, I think it's great that Michael Gove and his son come to see QPR, and doesn't feel the need to show that he's in some way above the rest of us Joe's.
