city dwellers are getting ridiculous.
this child was a plaything to this gorilla. these zoo keepers knew full well it would only take one swing and that child is dead. like a rag doll.
sadly the idiots on the poll have 67% wrong to shoot the poor animal.
these are not easy calls but the right one (IMO) was made.

The keepers didn't really get left with any other option did they. As you say, the gorillas not exactly gonna feed it a banana and climb back up the wall to give it back to the idiot parents that let it fall in the pen in the first place. It's a case of parental negligence if you ask me, if they were fit to be parents they'd never let the kid be anywhere near the sides of the pen, especially if, as is the case, the pen obviously didn't provide adequate protection to stop a small child falling or climbing in. So the zoo is also partially responsible for the whole sad, pathetic incident. What you're left with is a poor captive animal whose circumstances are already pretty ****ty getting an even ****tier death by taking the fall for human ineptitude
One of those would've taken too long to take effect, or at least outside what they believed to be a safe amount of time to have a kid in there
It appeared to be protecting the kid though.
