That's what I would've preferred but if they had gone that route and the gorilla turned on the kid and tore it apart before the drug took effect they would've been condemned, way more than they are being for killing it. Gorilla's can be unpredictable and they are big units as well so the drugs would need a while to kick in. Within that window they had to make the call as to whether it would continue to play nice or maul it. Imo the parents are both dumb as **** for letting their kid loose in a zoo/public place and the kid has inherited the genes by deciding to go inside a ****ing gorilla enclosure. When it came down to it, it was gorilla against human and human will always win in this situation even if it is the offspring of the braindead, unfortunately. It's a totally unnecessary incident and death of an innocent creature because of human idiocy
That's the headlines and the stills. I saw the video (you might have as well but i'm presuming you hadn't with that) and whilst the gorilla might have been "protecting" the child it pretty much dragged the kid around twice like a ragdoll. Surprised the child wasn't more hurt!
Tranq it and it falls on the kid and kills it and they'd be in the **** as well. No win situation for the zoo. I don't imagine they took great pleasure in having to kill one of their own.
Makes you wonder if we shouldn't have developed some sort of sterilisation programme by now for the most moronic amongst us, or at least pass laws to ban ******s like those parents from reproducing
Hardh to judge without knowing all the details. Small kids can easily run away or it's easy to get distracted and within 10 seconds a kid has done something stupid.
no really i think one of the comdey shows of the 70s or 80s had a great line... needs a good war to thin the ranks. I mean a bit of conscription and send the more moronic over the top... the smart.. or just rich or devious survive (as in boris will survive)
you guys didn't see the video of the gorilla dragging the kid about the place? let me tell you... the power of these great beasts is something else.. its the loki v hulk scene... that gorilla could have smashed that kid on the gorund a couple times and its all over. I'd have shot it. I'd have hated to do it but.... yes human idociy somewhere allowed that possibility.
it seems the gorilla was scared of the crowd shouting down at it and dragged the kid around the water.. again... looks total inadequate caging. In zoos i've been too there a plexi glass wall.
hmmmm you got a 4 year old? I do. frankly the kid could have died in the fall never mind the gorilla.
he's the one sat in the armchair opposite in the rest home communal area and I'm both of your abusive carer
