Leicester City midfielder Danny Drinkwater admits he is 'disappointed' after being left out of England's final 23-man squad for Euro 2016.
Roy Hodgson has opted to leave out the Premier League winner, while handing places to Liverpool's Jordan Henderson as well as Arsenal's Jack Wilshere, who played just 142 minutes for the Gunners last season.
Newcastle winger Andros Townsend and Manchester City's Fabian Delph were the other two players from the provisional squad to miss out.
Disappointed not to make the final 23! Would of been a fantastic experience to go to the euros as a player... But I'll be supporting the country like I always have! The seasons been a huge positive for me.. Going into next season as a premier league champion! Good luck to the lads... Bring it home [HASHTAG]#england[/HASHTAG]

Was to be expected. Roy obviously didnt hear Tom and Serge say that Leicester is the new Empire. If he leaves JV out of the first game I will be supporting France and Kante to win man of the series.

You're waiting until the first game? I'm already willing England to fail (with Vardy having a good tournament on a personal level). While this clown is in charge the whole set up of our national side is a joke so the best we can hope in the long run is that it continues to fail on the big stage so drastic change is made. C'MON RUSSIA, WALES AND SLOVAKIA!!!

You are joking there surely!?
There is no standby lists any more - when the final squad is announced, that is it.

So if Sturridge, Wilshire and Henderson bugger themselves up as expected then no other players can be called up.

Not according to the BBC

If a player gets injured between now and before the start of the tournament with UEFA's permission you can replace them

I´ll say it again "I DON`T GIVE A F*** ABOUT THE ENGLAND TEAM" All the hype & all the gobbing off that goes on. I hope they lose all their games, but hope JV bags a few. Over paid prats & they only pick players from `big` teams. Wilshere over Drinkwater, **** off.

Exactly my thoughts. I'm supporting Jamie Vardy but not England

Poor decision in my opinion, he should have gone.

I thought he played well against Australia and hasn't looked out of place in any of appearances thus far.

I can't bring myself not to support England but at the same time I can't bring myself to like Roy 'if you play for a big team I'll suck you off and pick you every time over an in form player from a smaller team even though he played nearly every game, controlling the midfield in the title winning side' Hodgson.

Owl looking mother ****er.

Very disappointing for Danny, unfortunately I think the likes of Roy tells players like delph, Lallana etc
To player for a Manchester or Red Liverpool team.

Players from Leicester, West Ham and Southampton will give you more effort.

Take a guy that's been an influential part of his clubs title winning campaign?

NAHHH!

That'd be silly!

Let's take ol crock of the crocks Jack "glass knees" Wilshere!

I roll my eyes at the continued omission of Mark Noble as well but hey ho, we just arn't the fashionable teams.

Tbf European refs are a lot more strict and he won't be as effective giving away fouls every 2 minutes you guys are gonna see the difference in referring next season when you are the champions league

In all fairness Delph has more experience of being on standby after all hes had a season of being on standby by at Citeh!!.
Woy has got it Wight we will play this tournament the same way we always do, we will get the same results we always do its a bit like Arsenal, the FA seam to be impressed with the way we get there every time not how we do whilst there.
