do you think that he filled naughtons boots today? in my opinion he had a quality game and if he plays like that every week i think he will turn out to be a bargain at 1 million or whatever the price is that we payed.

A difficult game for the lad - he certainly defended well, but he was limited with his attacking options due to the quality of the opposition.

Kept Ronaldo, Marcelo, Coentrao and Benzema quiet to be fair!

Peltier looks a better defender then Naughton. But it unfair to judge how good Peltier is attacking until he plays against some championship teams. Solid game for him yesterday and after Bamba and Schmeichel, Peltier would have been my motm

Good game for Lee defensively but hard to judge attacking quality. Was the reason Pantsil didn't play due to International clearance because otherwise it looks like Peltier is first choice.

Peltier had a good game in my eyes, and agree its hard to judge attacking potential against a team as good as Madrid. But if he plays like that next sat against cov, we could def be having some fun by the end of the game, cos he will tear them apart................ cant wait

Yes quality game from him yesterday. I think both full backs had good games. Pity we didn't get to see Tunchev for 15 mins or so and with him having the number 33 does this mean Sven isn't too sure of him?

Surely if Tunchev wasn't to be offered a contract he wouldn't have been included yesterday or Sven would have given him 15 minutes as a farewell. I think Tunch will be offered a deal (33) is just 3 with another 3, the squad number he likes

Was at the game yesterday nd was reali impressed with Peltier, defended well against a quality side and with his throw ins city will get hav a good chance geting lots of goals, cnt wait til nxt week, up the city

Thought Peltier had a cracking game for us. As far as I am aware, Pantsil hasnt had any game time pre-season, so I would play Peltier against the chavs, and Pantsil in the cup game. Then let them fight for the shirt

Saints fan in peace, Just thought I'd give my opinion on Peltier as I've seen him play 8 or so times and have a few mates who are Huddersfield fans. You've got yourself an excellent player there that's for sure, no reason why he can't do as well for you as Naughton did - maybe even better who knows. Brilliant athelte, technically sound, great throw-in on him and a very decent tackler. Think you've got yourself an absolute steal in all honesty if the fee my mate seems to think you got him for was £800,000 rising to £1.5m. Good luck this season Foxes, hope you lads get promoted.

Pantsil still has issues with his work permit but they should be sorted by the weekend. Even if they dont Peltier showed he is more then good enough

Peltier was equal or better than Naughton IMO, although he may not have the same attacking attributes (we will have to wait and see), he was certainly strong in defence.

I think Peltier is a better defender then Naughton but we cant judge how good Peltier is attacking until he has played against championship teams

With Naughtons price around 5M and Peltier 1M. Peltier was alot better deal for us maybe thats why we didnt go all out for Naughton

I didnt realise that he could do those dangerous throw-ins till Saturday, he certainly kept that quiet.
