BEST MANAGER EVER. FACT. He cannot be expected to fire fight anymore. Back Bruce or he is off and who would blame him. I suspect that Bruce will get his wish. He deserves it.
We've got a squad of players who are actually capable of putting on a footballing spectacle.. but Bruce doesn't allow them to most of the time as he's cautious. Yes, he's excellent at getting teams promoted but distictly average at managing in the PL. Yet he blames our last top flight's relegation on losing Snodgrass & Diamé to injury and Leicester's surprising turnaround! His substitutions are often not reactive enough and defensive. I think we need new blood despite the fact Bruce is a fantastic man, a gent, honest, and certainly our best ever manager. If he proves me wrong then great, it might depend on the new owners, if the Allams continue he'll not be sacked
No point arguing Chazz, I've said it on thread a few times now but surprise, surprise, people still ignore it: Easy to ignore things that contradict your opinion.
only guessing, but maybe people think he shouldn't have got Birmingham relegated, shouldn't have got Sunderland into a right mess and shouldn't have got us relegated
Got Brum that top top top club back up and then left them. Where are they now? Sunland have been a mess for years.
This season shouldn't have happened, but it did. I'm glad he got us promoted, but this 'best ever manager' thing doesnt matter one jote. At times the football has been utter crap in a pretty mediocre division and he's responsibile for that. Time for a change.
You are joking right, when have Sunderland not been in a right mess? and if my memory serves, they were further up the league when he left than they have been since he left?
Like I put before, when it comes to knock-out formats like the play-offs and the Cup I think Bruce is a great manager, for the league though we tail away every single season for the last three years. If it was his master-plan to hit the play-offs running then I take my hat off to him but that won't work next season. Its just baffling how he can't rotate the squad, or won't rotate it, that Derby second leg has got to be the biggest let-off for us I can ever remember- how they did not equalise then go past us I will never ever know
Theres a fairly convincing argument to be had that we should have gone up automatically with our squad too, instead we had the same amount of defeats as teams in the bottom eight and thats including losses to ****e like Leeds, Rotherham...
One of the highlights of my season tbh. if Bruce stays then fair enough he's earnt it but for me he is not the right man to take us on when you take sentiment out of the equation
No, we beat their reserves. Schwarzer 2 de Laet 27 Wasilewski 29 Benalouane Booked at 76mins 30 Chilwell 36 Dodoo (Mahrez) 33 Inler 10 King 11 Albrighton Booked at 87mins 20 Okazaki (Vardy) 19 Kramaric (Drinkwater)
Was still highly enjoyable, especially with their fans telling us how **** we were amongst other things, that's why I've not really jumped on the good old Leicester bandwagon. Still quite a lot of class in their team even the likes of Inler who vanished, Vardy/Mahrez were there for a long period with extra time too
