Nope. Most teams going up go down quickly. And we went up this year. Nearly didn't is irrelevant, as we did. By the same argument we nearly stayed up, but for a miracle Leicester run of wins. Stop deluding yourself we are suddenly safe bets to be safe. The facts suggest teams rarely do it.
I don't understand why the manager needs to be unattached. Why can't we just poach a manager from somebody else? Quique Sanchez Flores would be awesome though.
Just in from Springboard Festival. Having spoken to a club source, it seems they themselves don't know if Steve Bruce will stay or not.
I hope they all get this sorted asap, owners and manager and it's not like last season were the manager didn't have a clue about budgets etc as the Allams ****ed off on holiday Burnley and boro will all ready be a couple of weeks in front of us regarding signings etc
Why does anyone think they would!? He won't know himself as he has said clearly he needs to see what's on the table. I reckon that's a few days away yet.
I don't think Steve Bruce is the right man for a stable Hull City Premier League team. He has, ultimately, under-achieved in both of the last two seasons. That being said, given that we have gone up via the play-offs, and the owners situation - it might be best for the moment to see Bruce as the key to short-term stability. If I was a hypothetical new owner, i'd probably want a replacement lined up and in place within the next 2 weeks - otherwise stick with Bruce. But who knows who will be the owners in 2 weeks time.
Well he's unattached at the moment anyway! But yes, people having a crack during the season when we wanted Bruce out were saying "But no one good is available!" Well, who cares? We can poach someone..
