I wasn't there because I'm out of work again, and barely have a penny to scratch my arse with. Scrambling around to raise £100-150 to go and watch a football match was simply out of the question.
Good luck in getting sorted Polly. I don't know what you do but one extra good thing that might come out of yesterday is the potential of new business in the area.

The humiliation was seeing two Wednesday fans stood amongst a group of seated City fans who said nothing. They would be keen enough to tell fellow City fans to sit down.
It didn't particularly refer to the lack of numbers as there are many and varied valid reasons for that. It was a bit embarrassing to see us so outnumbered. The only consolation was it showed Wednesday have more plastics, day trippers, big game fans, call them what you like, than we have.
You could always get a job as a proof reader for TFT. You would make a fortune on piece work rates.
CC has got nothing to prove as an attending supporter. He was there during the bad times, home and away, and he doesn't even live in Hull.

I had two Wendies to the left of me and two to the right. Didn't get to the bottom of how they got tickets in 'our' end. Perfectly nice people, jumped up and down a bit with the Wendy chants but didn't overdo it. Wished us well at the end and recognised the better team won. Back home in N Wales at11.30. Funniest bit of a great day? On the various tube journeys the Wendy fans singing "Mind the Gap ....Sheffield United" at every station. It did pale after a while though!
City fans crying about fans not turning up whilst being sat at home.
Just as irriating as the idiots who ring up Radio Humberside & give tactical advice when they've not been or listened to the match.
The "we've been to Wembley a lot recently" excuse doesn't wash with me. Sorry. I can say fair does to staying away because of the Allams, but if you get to Wembley it's always a big occassion.

Sat to the side of the goal I looked around and thought Castro will be having a field day with this.
It was completely e,harassing to be fair. Looking down the side on the lower tier and Wednesday all stood up, our lot all sat down.
Got politely asked by the steward to sit down as the people a few rows back couldn't see!! So I turned round and told em to **** off. Didn't help. Told no need to stand there's nothing going on...
So I had to sit.
Only able to stand for the last twenty minutes when the ****s behind me deemed it ok as they were standing.
It was completely e,harassing to be fair. Looking down the side on the lower tier and Wednesday all stood up, our lot all sat down.
Got politely asked by the steward to sit down as the people a few rows back couldn't see!! So I turned round and told em to **** off. Didn't help. Told no need to stand there's nothing going on...
So I had to sit.

People don't like to see Castro's negative posts but sometimes he's right. We made a good noise at times yesterday but at times a massive section on the left of our end were all sat down, and immediate next to them every Wednesday fan was stood up. It was kind of embarrassing seeing that solid line from top to bottom of standing Wednesday fans while every City fan immediately next to them was seated. A few times people in that section successfully got things going by singing 'stand up if you're Hull City' but that shouldn't really have been required. How can people need encouragement to get behind their team at a game like that? It's simply baffling.

Chazz, remember that thing about Kamara's brother? Just been in hospital and when a bloke found out where I was from he asked if I had known him as he was his physical training instructor when he was in the army. Said he wasn't the greatest of blokes even then. I say he asked me if I knew him as he died 2 years ago.
Interesting bloke to talk,to. He spent some time in Spandau guarding Hess. He fell for a trick he apparently pulled on a few. He asked him for a cigarette and then reported him as it was forbidden.
Castro, you're the source of your own humiliation, you wasn't there, you didn't buy the tickets the Wednesday fans had!!! This was a perfect opportunity for all the bleeding hearts to put their differences with our dictator behind them and get behind our team, not his team, our team. He's only the custodian, and unfortunately for him, probably has a lot more to worry about right now.

Chazz can I ask without getting into a disagreement, why is it so important to you that others prefer to sit when watching football? Anyone free to chip in. From my own point of view I stood in bunkers for over 30 years and did not not ask or want to move to the KC. I did not want to go to an all seater stadium. However it has been a good move for the club and I have to admit it is better than BP. At my age I simply prefer to sit but I do not ask people in front of me to sit down, within reason.
There were reasons, apart from my disenchantment, why I wasn't there which some know about. Whatever had happened and even if I had a ticket I wouldn't have been able to be there even if if I had wanted to be.
It's all relative to what we've achieved over the last 8 years, the novelty for Wednesday and the fact that for many City fans just ONE trip to Wembley is a lifetime dream, now we've had 4 visits most of our fans will have been.
I would have gone if I'd lived in the UK but i just can't afford the ticket, the hotels and the flights from Lyon (and I'll always have The Emirites win & Slovakia away..which for me are special)
