Lens mayor has said there isn't an alcohol ban for England/Wales match...just being sold in plastic cups in fan zone or can be bought in cafes and bistros. They are doubling the size of the fan zone for this match only. There will be an exclusion zone round the stadium unless you have a ticket.

You can go to football without going drinking first you know.

Also, have you ever been sober and been surrounded by pissed up Brits? Not a lot of fun, believe me.

Don't think I have ever gone to a football match as an adult without having a beer or 2 before hand. At Lincoln I get to the ground with the boys for about 1-30 and spend the next hour and a bit in the club bar.

I would be surprised if Bertrand isn't given a chance as well!

Also Delph is injured so will likely miss the Euros. Sturridge pulled out of training injured as well.

I'm afraid that's what you get with Sturridge. He's undoubtedly brilliant, but also a bloody liability.

    Roy on Defoe.

“Defoe went to Canada [MLS Toronto, before joining Sunderland].

“I’m not saying for a minute he doesn’t have the ability but we have other eggs in the basket and we don’t want to break any of those eggs."

    ________________________________

I rate JD, but when he left for Toronto, he took himself out of the window, so I'm in agreement with Roy on this one.
Twice in one week, I might actually like him soon! <yikes>
