I saw the first half, in which Rose was at fault twice, including for the equaliser, then watched the last 10 minutes, plus added time, in which Rose was again caught out, almost leading to a second equaliser.
I assumed he must have had an absolute worldy, during the time I wasn't watching, for Glenda to give him MOTM.
Judging by the comments above, he didn't have a worldy?

Nope, just a ludicrous decision from Hoddle really.

After that match, Pelle's last four games will have been against Pochettino, Pardew, Adkins (sort of) and Strachan.

No word on what George Burley is up to these days.

He may well be propped up at the end of the next bar Pelle walks into...

The population of Lens is 32,000, the stadium holds 38,000 and at one time there were figures of 100,000 fans turning up in the city being bandied about. Really can't blame the town for wanting to shut down!

That surprises me. The amount of squandered opportunity to make a lot of money for the city. They obviously have decided they do not want fans in the city, so by not selling alcohol fans will go to other cities / fan parks to watch the game.

I know we've been pretty well behaved at recent tournaments, but with it being so close and only a train ride away to France, I'd be expecting mass numbers to travel. Not just English , but welsh and Irish to, and that would concern me if I was the French police. Always going to end in tears in my opinion.

Yeah, hopefully Welsh tears ... eh H?

It's not just our game though, it's every game taking place in Lens. They've decided a blanket blockage on alcohol consumption when a game is taking place in the city. You'd think the city didn't want the football to take place, I wouldn't want to be a bar owner as this would have paid for a nice holiday.

I think England will win all 3 groups games, can see Wales finishing 2nd though.

I'm an old-time cynical England supporter. I can see them drawing the first game, losing to Wales and then getting a 0-0 draw in the third and going out because they'll only have 2 points ...........
Yes, I know - but, remember, I had the misfortune to be stood with the US fans in Rustenberg when we played them in the World Cup in 2010 ....... Not sure I ever really got over that ............ <wah>

My impression is that England rarely win their opening game...they always try to make it hard on themselves.

When do England ever sail through the Group stage? We always have to suffer. I just hope the media don't start all the Rooney is world class crap and make out he's going to win the thing single handed again.
