The average spend per player for EPL teams. We are the 7th highest spender at an average of £6.5 mill. That will please/displease you depending on whether you like us to spend like a big team or prove you can do it at bargain basement prices. The figure that isn't included is whether the money comes from a kitty or player sales....as we know, it was largely funded from the latter. I think it shows we are well run, but aren't trying to turn a profit for the owner rather than improve the team.

I heard that the Chelsea pitch owners own the name Chelsea FC and stamford bridge, and it's headed by John Terry, this is why abramavich has to kiss Terry's arse, or if they move they may be called new Chelsea or something else stupid

If that's true then that's a very smart bit of business by Chelsea.

I would also want it to be illegal. I may be a little precious here, but if a club have a deal on image rights of a person, that should only be whilst in their employ. I actually find it a little distasteful it isn't legally given up the moment his employment stops.

It was in his contract....up to his agent in the end. Presumably Mourinho got paid handsomely for image rights at the time.

Koeman is the 5th longest serving EPL manager.....extend your contract, Ron, and you could get a long service medal. :) The average tenure in the EPL is 1 year 332 days, but this is skewed by Wenger's figures....might I suggest they use the median as this reduces the effect of outliers (just a thought o_O). Shameful really as I can't believe all those managers really deserved to be sacked....given time, I bet many would do as well as their replacements.

Not all of them get sacked of course. Some don't feel the need to see out their contracts

Mourinho officially appointed on initial 3 year contract - concluding one of the most hyped and publicly drawn out managerial replacements in PL history. 24/7 for the last week.

But good for both parties I think - obviously United is the biggest club in the country for Jose, and United to start winning again.
