100k is pretty standard and 3.8m isn't an awful lot for a freebie when most normal signings prob get a couple of mil signing on see anyway.
I remember the Schalke director or something saying they offered him more money but he turned it down. I seriously doubt we are paying him 100k a week. Apparently Schalke offered 65k a week. Given the financial power of the Bundesliga that sounds right. I heard our offer was closer to 42k a week. I'm sure someone could find out from a reliable source. Right now Coutinho is on 70k a week, Can on 30k/40k, Origi on less than 60k. Yet there's always random figures banded about which are based off what people would expect given the quality. Henderson is being paid more than Coutinho, but you wouldn't expect that.
