Ibe or Redmond?
Clicked on Whiteley's link which eventually led me to Saints apparent interest in Liverpool's Ibe. I don't care whether the player is any good or not. I don't care whether Saints would be interested or not. I don't care whether the rumour is true or false. I just love to see the tables turning in the media.

8Million for a 20 year old with bags of potential would be great business. We could easily improve him a lot, Would be considerably better after a couple of seasons.
Actually, I was referring to his quality. I haven't seen that much that makes me think he's worth the money of an established good PL player yet.
£8m won't buy you that these days, specially a English player. When the team bottom of the Prem earn £80m, prices are going to go up.
He needs to be taught to be less greedy and pass more. Needs work on his passing as well. If Koeman can get him to do that he will be a very good player.
As we're getting into full on transfer mode, try not to worry about a few million either way. It doesn't matter too much, and if transfer fees keep on inflating then any deal now is going to look better than the same one in a couple of years. Salary is what's important, because we're stuck with that for the whole contract.
He's 20 and he's English. 8mill is more than fair for him. He's got very good potential.
