I'd certainly take him at saints, but as people have said wages may well be an issue. I'm other sure mourinho will like him at all. Unless he does change his ways dramatically, he isn't the sort of player mourinho tends to deploy out wide. He doesn't track back and do his part defensively particularly well. Mourinho coming in could well prove to be to our advantage.
I think we like players to do their defensive bit, so, unless he is willing to change, he wouldn't suit us either. I remember in an episode of In the Box, JWP said he liked being forward as he didn't like defensive stuff. Forster jokingly chastised him...Now, James, you know we defend from the front. I'm guessing he was mimicking what the coaches say. :)

Like? Bloody obligatory!

This is a good point. I suppose to a certain extent all coaches like their wingers/wide players to track back and do their bit. My thinking was really that mourinho probably asks a lot more (defensively) from his players than most.

I have to say that I am amazed that several people mention taking Depay without so much as a question on his attitude/ability to strop.

Agree it's a gamble fats. I'm just trusting whoever we do sign will have been rigorously assessed on that angle. You never know, a poor season in Manchester (plus being told he's not wanted by Mourinho - if that happens), may humble the young lad.

As far as I know Memphis has never had an attitude problem before. He has struggled this season and his attitude has been questioned. At PSV I believe he was a hard worker and a great success, one season doesn't define a player.

Agree, that may tone him down a bit, but you know when you see those nasty signs too often...

Well if we went for him and he came, I'd trust Ron and back Depay.

Marc Bartra has announced that he's looking to leave Barcelona to seek more playing time and has been pictured recently with his friend Romeu.

Not seen us linked anywhere yet but I wouldn't be surprised to see us in the mix along with Stokealona.

I'd take Memphis all day long, 15 million ish is a risk worth taking. If you can get him playing he'd be a monster on the wing , he's shown flashes of what he can do. If it dosent work out, just sell him back to some Dutch club and recoup a bit of the money laid out. No brainer for me.

I doubt Utd would sell. And if they did the price would not be £15million.

Long as Ron can actually coach him to defend everything would be good.
