I'm personally against this being anything but a Southampton transfer thread. However the majority agreed against. So if it's a free for all open thread then the toffee can say what he wants.
More than most saints i have a grudge cos I'm old enough too remember the eighties and my wife is a toffee. But free speech is exactly that.

Never, actually I've forgotten the eighties and I'm thinking about Everton scoring more goals for us last season than we did. And me enjoying the last two years to the previous twenty.

Echo suggesting that Stek could sign a contract with Saints. I think it would be a good move....he's a good keeper if not a commanding type like Forster. We need a good 2nd keeper...but they are the hardest creatures to get as they are more likely than other players to choose clubs where they are number one. There is only one position they can play....not for them the opportunity of playing elsewhere on the field. We will be playing a lot of games next season...he may feel it is worthwhile staying with us.

 

Would be good news if we got Stek. Reliable second choice that is already settled at the club.

Koeman's new agent is also the agent of memphis depay, he has been tentatively linked with us in the papers previously. What do people think of him as a signing?

My issue with Depay is his personality. I wonder if it's worth the hassle and may be just too big a gamble.

 

Agree with this. Similar to Oxlade-Chamberlain, just depends if his wage expectations could fit in our structure. He's one I definitely wouldn't write off after just his first season , particularly as it was under LVG. Got bags of potential if he's given the right environment.

 

Agreed. He's a proper athlete...quick, powerful, great burst of pace and (used to be) good at set-pieces. Just needs to be polished and have his confidence restored. May well be that Mourinho brings the best out of him though.

 

I'd certainly take him at saints, but as people have said wages may well be an issue. I'm other sure mourinho will like him at all. Unless he does change his ways dramatically, he isn't the sort of player mourinho tends to deploy out wide. He doesn't track back and do his part defensively particularly well. Mourinho coming in could well prove to be to our advantage.
