Good post Lummie and you're right, they're like a nuisance little sister, absolute pests! or like a dog with 3 legs, all ****ed up but you can't help but pat them on the head...

I really don't think we have a lot to be optomistic about at the moment do you ? We're going to be starting this coming season with essentially the same squad that seriously underperformed last season and that's not good enough.

Add in the likes of teams such as Brighton and Southampton that I think will do very well, plus West Ham and others, and we'll by vying with the likes of Peterborough, Barnsley and Doncaster for a bottom 3 place. This division is turning into a mini Premier League with some seriously big spenders at the top and us unable to compete financially or even attract good players.

We'd be better off taking Leicester's money for Maynard right now and buying a couple of players that will ensure our survival.

If Ipswich come to the Gate on the opening day and give us a lesson like Millwall did last year then Millen is going to be under immense pressure from the off and rightly so.
 
Angelic,I agree with you all of the way as norm,I think under Millen we'll be lucky to finish as high as 18th,hence my comment,just hope this joker above me is wrong...:emoticon-0117-talki
 
CJS - It's called accepting reality.....maybe something that you should subscibe to given the oppostion you'll be seeing this year on cold and rainy nights at the minimal with just half a dozen more of the blue few supporters for company ? :wink:
 
wel your the only one on here who can accept this reality. all die hard city fans i know are very worried about this season. only fools on here think its going to be a great season for you lot.

interesting that you think we will get more fans at our place this season "half a dozen more of the blue few". looks like you have accepted reality that we wil do well this season.

any city fan who actually thinks you will be better than last season would be a fool <ok>
 
We drew a gate of 7346,not bad for the first home friendly this season,oh by the way,that magnificent team from South Glos that our noisy blue few friends keep banging on about struggled to beat little Gloucester City today 3-2,the support was wonderful,they attracted being such a popular league club a huge 425,mind you when we played FGR we attracted 1175 of which 324 were away supporters..
