One thing he will need here is an open mind. He won't be allowed to turn up and make it The Mourinho Show, you can hang your hat on that.

That's the one thing I think he will do, he won't be able to help himself, the question is, will he get away with it?

No. Simple answer. We've shown enough times that nobody is bigger than this club, he'll be slung out like a bad habit if he drags the club through the mud. I think he'll be passionate and he'll always be a bad loser, Fergie was as well don't forget, but he won't be acting the clown here.

One of one of the things I've liked about him in the past is that when the team has been poor he's taken all of the flak on himself and shielded the players from the press. He's made the back page headlines about him.

I like to see a manager who does that, let's the press know where the buck stops.

Which is why his behaviour with that doctor was so bizarre last season. It seemed to go against some of his behaviour in the past.

There could be some soul searching done by some ManU people not least of which Giggs and Mata but for their own reasons. Mourinho did not rate Mata and sold him, Giggs will be serving under his third manager in three years without a sniff at the top job even though he was being groomed for it.

Can't see Ryan Giggs staying be honest, he must have some self pride left, and would the chosen one want him as his number two, doubt it.

Giggs will have some role at the club. He deserves that much at least.

In one of the rags there was a mention of Gary Neville. Maybe utter bollox mind.

Jumping the gun a bit there, he didn't 'not rate' Mata, he simply preferred Oscar in the number 10 role as he believed Mata didn't offer the same in his system. I think it's safe to say he's since learned that players like Oscar, Hazard, FABREGAS... these guys have no spine, whilst at the same time, he's watched Mata rescue the day for United on many occasion, I'm not overly convinced that Mata is on his way out of Old Trafford if and when Mourinho turns up, I think Jose will have some making up to do with Mata, who has as it happens, wiped the floor with Oscar since he turned up here.

Giggs, that's another story, whether he was ever being 'groomed' as our next manager is unknown, but he's not shown very much, sitting in silence, murmering in the ear of Van Gaal, sitting with puzzled looks on his face next to Moyes and Steve arsehole Round, unquestionably brilliant player but that never means good management material. Maybe it's his time to leave.

His agent isn't due in Manchester until today, you must have some good contacts.

Mata is a great player, he just didn't quite fit in for Chelsea at the time.

I think Jose will see the lad loves United, and has some unbelievable ability.

I doubt he, or Giggs, will move on. Giggs anywhere but United would be just wrong, on every level.

Hang on, I did not need a diatribe of an answer to a small comment about a player that Mourinho could/would not accommodate as he all but froze Mata out. Regarding Giggs, he was hailed by SAF and the other departing/retiring players as the future of ManU. Perceived failure has changed that so Giggs appears to be out on a limb about his future. Furthermore, he has gone through the system to gain his coaching badges so his quals are there.

    Diatribe <doh>

Sorry for debating, I'll just let you fill the board with misinformed sludge in future, crack on, Gerrard slipped and gave the title to Chelsea last year. <ok>

I'd love it if Rashford was our number 9 mate but I can't see us buying no strikers this summer. Zlatan on 1-2 years would be perfect, edge Rashford into the role carefully.

Don't want Kante. I rate the guy he's sublime but he's not what we are about. Kroos please.

So why the animosity? Read the OP again as in COULD versus" will be" some soul searching by the two people who will be possibly be most affected. Not a criticism or derogatory observation purely a rather bland statement.

Fair, but unnecessary, comment about my slip about Gerrard's slip as I did get it wrong, maybe I should assembled my information from Wiki rather than memory then I would not get cheap shot reminders.:emoticon-0113-sleep

Half of that team already have won the league. Man for man, they are better than Leicester.

    I wouldn't call them favourites, but I'd say they'd have a chance.
