Mourinho gives United a massive boost. Players who would have thought 'no CL' now think 'Mourinho in England, with the biggest club in England'.
I think he will nail it. I get the youth players thing but I have little doubt that Abramovic was hands on in playing stars.
Mourinho is a supremely intelligent fella and will be well aware of the expectation for United to produce as well as purchase.

Man U fans brought up on SAF's attacking football. Mourinho is a 1 or 2 goal man and then shut up shop. Results, yes. Entertainment, remains to be seen.

My money is on Pep having a meltdown before Jose does, what is certain though, is that they both will at some point.

This could be make or break for Mourinho. After his spectacular flop at Chelsea, if a similar thing happens at Man Utd, his reputation will be well and truly in tatters.

They were above the relegation places with stacks of games left. They were never under threat.
They hardly tore the league apart under Hiddink either, I doubt globally any damage has really been done to Mourinho, and I doubt even more that he will flop at United.

I see your point mate, but we will have to agree to disagree on this, I don't think there was any possibility of that side going down.
He had to go of course cos the players had ****ed him, but they'd not have gone in my opinion.
He lost the support of the players when things didn't go right which surprised me. They all loved him the first time around but snidey gits like Fabregas and Costa turned against him when he had the cheek to sub them or even worse drop them.

He's the manager, he takes the responsibility. It's up to him to manage the players so that doesn't happen.
Managers take the credit when it goes well, so they should sure take responsibility when it starts to **** up.
