Klop said esrly, he wants players who are going to help this club get to the top, not those that want to jump on the train when it's already arrived.

    I honestly think we:

    a) seeing bottle issues. I think coutinho bottled it, lallana too. it was too big for them they were of out of position hiding IMO. mingolet never moved off his line and i deffo saw two he should have gathered up but ended up being put out.

    b) seeing guys with bad mentality. moreno was seen high fiving at HT. klopp rrouned on villa real for that after they won at home. he then goes out obviously never heard a thing at HT and ****s it

    c) individuality we see guys not trusting those about them. can was trying to compete with n'zonzi in the air. nobody went about winning that for him.but when the long throws were coming out comes lovern piling into his own man..

for the future I think we saw clyne step up. things disintegrated aorund him but he really give his all there. he's not great technically IMO but he really siad this is my chance i'm taking it. I think toure sady was the only real other one. the rest really didn't give any showing. especially the 3 no 10s. Sturrdige did try, he got a great goal and i think he was run out by the end... but behind him the 3 really bottled it.

I think a ability worse, proven by some of the results we've had.

What we lack are players with the right mentality which is somewhat ironic since Brod constantly banged on about player mentality <laugh>

The right mentality brings consistency. We severely lack consistency!

I agree.. you need to be going into the game focused on delivery.. half the side never turned up and then the other half were like deer in headlights ofr 15mins. that not right.

then obviously going in at HT they were not thinking and focusing on the 45 to come and what needs be done they were thinking of the medal, cup and party... of that i've no doubt.

I've been on a downer with coutinho for a few months but he's really not turned up enough for a guy coming up to his senior years. he'll be 24 this summer and frankly next year is make or break IMO.

firmino is an odd fish for me. he's got to improve.

Lallana was all over the place yesterday. I've not rated him and my view has not changed. he can do nice things well away form goal but he's lacking that killer instinct. If we'd had a kuyt there yesterday rather than him we'd have won and kuyt was not that talented. just effective.

Moreno is a joke. i've been on his case since seaosn one of him and he's got no better. he's a trier at times but he's brain dead.

I agree on Coutinho - it looks as if he's struggling in this set up.

moreno needs to be tried at lw, and if no good get rid, he doesn't like defending at the best of times but he plays lb ffs.

i dont know if it would work, but i think we all know he certainly doesnt work at lb.

Apparently the agent of Jonathan Tah was in attendance last night.

    Reckon Klopp wants another CB.

He struggled in exactly the same way when Brod trotted shifting him wide left. H

    e's a No.10, it's where he's had his best games for us.

Yes, he drifts left but having layer to his left means there is more space for him to make a run with the ball centrally. This is also how he gets a lot of his goals too.

If Moreno is to be tried at a law court, please make me the judge, you are not going to regret it. If not because we saw off another Spanish club to reach the final. I will be thinking of another thing.

Haha just as I was getting worried about not getting Hector ...

Köln are closing on a new left-back (Konstantin Raush), freeing Jonas Hector to join Liverpool. A bright spot on an otherwise grey day. #LFC

the sad thing is if they didn't have a donkey like n'zonzi to lump it up at then they'd not have had half the threat.

we couldn't cope with a very english game.

we really needed a CB to go lump into that guy and mop up round him.

Hope he doesn't tell him that he'll be playing next to Moreno next year, enough to put him off signing!

But flanno can at least defend, it's going forward which is what he's average at.

Whereas Moreno is just **** at both <whistle>

Honestly only lovren and Toure had decent games last night, can maybe make a case for Clyne too!

Not really - Flanno is **** defensively but is never criticised. <ok> oh god, I'm not getting into this again ha.

I watched the game again this morning (yes I'm a mascohist) - Toure was brilliant. Can't say the same for Lovren - he's out of position all the time. There is no way he can start for us next season.

    clyne did is uptmost.

toure did everything he could though n'zonzi was on his side and deliberalty placed there and in another era we'd have told can to drop in and let a hyppia type go batter him.

Lovern was ok but there was no midfield cover.

sturridge did ok and was run out at end.

the middle 5 were the issue plus of course the loony moreno.
