Ummm, so did Leicester. I think the difference is they were actively looking and my point is we aren't. Not saying we necessarily should be, but 1950 seemed to be implying that had changed and they were looking to offload.
Maybe after Leicester's success there maybe some more rich folk out there to emulate their success. Leicester at least till the good form runs out have been taken to Thailands heart, very good marketing for the owner and others may wish to try for a national showpony in the PL and we may be ripe for the pickin' Bah!
But only if Delia and Michael WANT to sell, I still haven't seen anything to indicate that they do....
Don't kid yourself GM - the PL win will make precious little difference unless they can emulate the success season in, season out. The really big teams (including the big mainland European teams) have got the market all but sewn up, or at least that how it appears.
That's the thing though, he is a successful thai business man and the club has done exceptionally well. They can adopt it as their PL club. We just would need likewise. Any Singapore business magnets after a footy club? Chinese ownership for villa, let's see how that goes! Bah!
I'm with Dave on this one... I'm sure I've read of Delia and MWJ's genuine interest to sell their stake, but only to a suitable buyer that they believe has NCFC's best interests at heart, hence conversations with Fernandes and the other local guy that never went anywhere. Won't be long before some Asian billionaire makes them an offer they can't refuse though. I think we'd be a reasonably tempting purchase given our circumstances and potential.
