I sometimes wonder if "work ethic" and the way that this comes across on the training ground has been the reason we've not seen or didn't see much of Ofoe, Lafferty, Hooper, Bamford, Mulumbu, etc, etc
I've posted a thread on Accies World where I created an account last year, just to see what their fans have made of AN's move down south. http://www.acciesworld.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=716 Just the one response so far.
HAHAHAHA!!! That is such a KIO move!! Create a whole new fake account to try and prove your downbeat point! Then, most ignore you, but one replies, and you still take that as a fact to back up your case! I'm literally grinning mate.
She's always talking sh*t like this. Usually putting down most things I say for some reason.Like most people, just ignore her.
I have not been active on here for a while partly because, in my opinion, some posters had lost reality over issues and the position of our Club and a perception that anybody refusing to toe the party line was met with a level of hostility not necessary on a debating forum. Some of the comments on this thread really do take the biscuit!! We have owners who are elderly, want to retire and willing to sell the Club to a suitable buyer. Recently out of the blue a Director resigns to be replaced by an inexperienced Board Member. Then, again out of the blue, our Chairman resigns to be replaced by somebody with no previous experience in the job and who, due to previous commitments, is involved in other issues for the next 5 weeks. Then, again out of the blue, our CE, who had been the powerhouse at Carrow Road resigns leaving our new Chairman and the Board with the job of replacing him. Unless there is an experienced Football Club CE sitting at home waiting for the phone to ring we will either have to poach a CE from another Club or appoint from outside Football. Either will take time consuming negotiations with the person and his current employers and whoever it is will have a massive job agreeing budgets etc following relegation as well as the other close season and transfer window duties. Surely that is enough instability for the Club to cope with at one time but apparently not. The fire is not yet completely out of control so lets throw more petrol on by sacking the Manager as well!! This will mean that our new Chairman and not yet appointed CE will have to deal with searching for, interviewing, negotiating and appointing a new Manager who in turn will have to appoint his own backroom staff, assess a squad of players he has never worked with or, in many cases, never seen play, work out who he wants to keep, who he wants to sell, negotiate a budget with the CE, identify transfer targets and leave the CE to do the donkey work. And - wait for it - ideally all of this will have to be completed by the time they report back for pre-season training in approx. 7 weeks time. Using the maxim ' act in haste - repent at leisure ' ideally you would want to take 7 weeks over the crucial appointment of a CE alone!! And the biggest laugh of all? Many of the people suggesting this internal combustion will be the same people moaning and calling for more heads to roll if we are not top of the league and playing like Barcelona by the end of September!! You couldn't make it up!! Having had my say I will now leave you in peace until sanity returns.
There you go ... Everything has to be taken or given out as an insult. Just one serious question. Do you really believe that with owners wanting to sell, a new board in place, a new inexperienced Chairman in place and heavily involved in other matters, no CE at the Club, the financial realities of relegation to be faced, the composition of our squad for next season to be sorted out, the transfer window about to open and only 7 weeks to go before the whole thing starts again - the Club could survive the further instability of sacking the Manager?
How the hell do I know , I'm insane! It wasn't and insult, no more than you saying we needed some sanity!!! Jesus some fractious people on here, I was just having a bit of fun!!!
If Stephen Fry didn't make that joke at an award ceremony then the faux outrage PC Twitter lynch mob wouldn't have forced him to flounce off to LA with his husband and leave the board. This in turn sends a ripple effect through the club meaning Delia's little nephew or whoever he is ? And captain Balls up come into the club. Fry =lucky charm Balls= Jinx McNally with relegation is worse than death in his mind sat at home with a shotgun in his mouth crying into a bottle of Gin . He thought it a good idea to argue with a 17 year old Twitter troll and anounce his resignation as one of the top 5 earning football CEO s in the country whilst eating a beefburger on the kitchen floor Hasselhoff style. If Leicester are making a Hollywood movie about their plucky season we could make a black comedy about our season with Mr Bean playing Alex Neil . I could just see Rowant Atkinson with a shaved head and tracksuit playing the luckless Alex Neil as Liverpool score their injury time winner in that 5-4 disaster. In Conclusion our season was ruined by Twitter arguably one of man's worst creations .
As a poster who is sitting on the fence with AN although leaning slightly towards sacking him I can see your point which is one of the reasons why I think he should be given a chance to put things right, but I wouldn't give him long, 2 months would be enough to see if he's up to the job next season or not. By then stability should have returned to the club behind the scenes enough to look for a new manager if that's needed. But that doesn't stop me questioning some of the boards decisions, although never their commitment to our team. For example I would question bearing in mind the points you raised why McNally's resignation was accepted unanimously, surely at the very least it could have been delayed for a few weeks.
The fracas involving John Ruddy was the result of somebody taunting him after seeing something on Twitter before it was taken down. Why the likes of McNally lay themselves open by getting involved with social media I do not know
Interesting.... Is this a fact or an assumption? I've not seen anything anywhere suggesting they wanted to sell?
They have been saying for ages that they will sell, but only to the right person that has NCFC's best interests at heart!
Sorry Dave but I have never believed that, hence putting little Jonny on the board to inherit the lot
Not sure that's the same thing though.... I don't think they are actively seeking buyers, but would listen if someone came in with an unbeatable offer, which tbh is highly unlikely for 'little ole Norwich ' unless I've missed something?
